    I think this is a bit of a false choice - if they fail to sign him, that means their interest wasn't genuine? For what it's worth, I voted yes. The Red Sox seem to be putting the effort into convincing Soto to sign here.

    Right. Realistically, I know winning every game is an impossibility. The Orioles are good. I picked the the Sox win 81 games in the preseason poll. And yet every day I think, "but they can win _this_ game!" And I'm disappointed if they don't.

    My son was 8 and a huge Nomar fan. I learned about the trade when I turned the game on that night. My son was having a bath before bed and when I went up to tell him, I swear I thought he was going to drown, he was so upset.
