    I agree with all of the above. I hope we continue to play hard ball and get him on the shortest deal we can. I'm fine with a 3 year deal, but anything in the 5+ range makes me nervous.

    Am I incorrect in believing that Vladdy despises the Yankees and will never play for them? Maybe I have him confused with someone else, but if not there’s no world in which Cashman gives TOR fair value for a one-year deal for someone who will be angry.

    Man, now I'm having pipe dreams about Tatis on our roster. Locked in until 2034 at a VERY reasonable deal (after the Soto signing). I know it's fantasy, but wow would that make for an offseason acquisition.

    I'm assuming this makes a Sean Murphy acquisition more likely. If he comes with the stud SP prospect, all the better. We still need Burnes or another ToR pitcher and a bat. We can still salvage this offseason.
