    I guess I am unsure of the exact DL rule, but I remember Lenny DiNardo spent the vast majority of his rule 5 season on the DL, but he still fulfilled his rule 5 obligation. The Song situation is completely different of course, sounds like the tweet above from Matt Gelb is correct.
