Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Looks like they are able to say “pussy” on the radio side now, but NBCSB is dropping the audio, the full 7 second delay. They’ve done it twice so far.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Simulcast back on today. No remarks or mention of it from Felger.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I wonder though, if that happens, can they re-instate the F&M simulcast even if he is no longer an employee of NBC Boston? I guess I understand why they pulled it for today, but ultimately nobody else that currently appears on the radio simulcast (Mazz, Murray) is an employee of NBC Boston, right?

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Yeah, now that you mentioned it, there was a couple of times when Felger said to Bedard while he was sitting there fuming, “It’s ok Greg, you can have GIFs on your website, it is allowed. You won’t get in trouble.” Or something like that.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Thank you, I’m glad I’m not the only one, I cringe every time Stewart speaks. He may be an excellent producer, but I hate when they try to include him as part of the on air “talent”. On another note, looks like it’s possible Greg Bedard might not be back on the show in the future. He got all...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Oh right, how could I forget. Although I get the impression that the fictional airfield on the show was quite a bit smaller than ACK and not having regular commuter travelers. But that was 20 years ago of course.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I see... makes sense, I figured there was a small airstrip for private planes, but I didn't realize there was a semi-real airport with commuter flights and such.

Commuting from Nantucket to Boston every day during the summer... what is that, like 4 hours each way on a good day?

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

In the mocking words/voice of Felger, that was the ultimate "Ohhhh well, what do you think of [insert team/player name] NOW?!" media person. :)

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I forgot about him, I stopped following him in 2011 for similar reasons after the Sox collapse. He couldn't understand why there was so much negativity. Gee, I wonder.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I think Felger had assumed that Hurley would take it as just harmless ball busting and was actually surprised that Hurley took is so seriously and was so whiney about it. Sure Hurley has a right to defend himself, but I would have more respect for him if he had basically said "Hey Felger, the...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Hey, I'm right there with you. I can work from anywhere also. In fact, my wife had a medical emergency 2 weeks ago and I had my laptop with me in the hospital room. Does that make me a total dick? Probably. I guess I've turned into a grumpy old man like Felger. And yeah, I've had the same type...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Well, I always thought Felger's rants towards Hurley seemed fairly lighthearted. I thought Hurley sounded like a whiner saying Felger was "attacking him and his family". I don't remember Felger saying anything about his family. And if the company gives you 2 weeks, fine take it. But I just...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Good Lord, Hurley was being a total pussy. It sounded like his argument was that he needed all the extra time at home because his wife has a screaming newborn with a 2 year old to deal with. Ok, I know exactly what that's like. And he said that they don't have parents and/or in-laws available to...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I don't know, that's probably why Neely said to Felger that he doesn't think anyone should "have" to do radio interviews. He probably figures that is the PR departments job. Whether you agree or not, it was obvious during the season last year that Neely really let the questions get to him as the...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I'm sure you guys are aware, but Neely used to do weekly interviews last year with F&M. Each week would get increasingly more uncomfortable and ended with Neely getting pissed and dropping an F-bomb on the air. Thursday's interview was the first this season. The problem is that I think he...

    Permanently Removing a Wireless Network

Dumb question, but the neighbor network name isn't the same as yours, is it? Like 'Linksys' or something? I know you said the other one is password protected, is yours also? What exactly happens when it "tries" to connect to the other network?

RIP Toucher and Rich Show ... It was fun while it lasted

Gammons had his TV on in the background, which was pretty rude. In fact, Gammons was pretty rude in a quiet sort of way for the entire interview. He brought nothing to the table but disdain for Fred, who was very respectful. It was a dismal appearance. It drives me crazy when these guys act...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Fair enough, I was thinking the same thing actually. Gammons is a positive guy. Often way too positive, but if you ever think he's going to agree that a player is a "disgrace" for striking out, you're going to walk away disappointed. He's always had issues with that sort of language, which...
