GCPT, i admire your hope, but i doubt that it will happen. Though some prime time network fights on Friday or Saturday, with inconsequential figthters, with good prospects thrown in, makes perfect sense to the fight fan, the big timers in the promotion game care about big $$. They'd rather say...

I want to apply for judging at the CT fight spots, can anyone critique my round notes and give constructive criticism?

Okay I've been a fan judge forever, and called this one as did the pros 116-112 Calzaghe. Here's my round scores, and my brief notes, feel free to comment, i'll appreciate any feedback Round 1: 10-9 JC (Kessler tentative, no authority worth mention) Round 2: 10-9 MK (Good traded punches, but...

First Thought: Too bad that i'll have to hear Kellerman rather than Larry. Larry gets old, but Kellerman was old the first time i heard him be the "analyst"

Especially if he is tentative throwing either hand. What say the membership on JMM/Rocky? I like Rocky, if JMM comes to fight, making the same mistakes Barrera made. Rocky realizes that this is probably his last chance to make a name, after his schooling by MAB in their 2nd, he is a...

I agree...Joe will stop somewhere around round 9, after he gives Kessler time to punch himself out. Kessler isn't a bum like Manfredo, and from what i gather, controls the ring better than Lacy. But Joe is damn good.

Lennox is insightful, but his tounge fails him. By the time he's done saying what he's trying to say, the action he is talking about is a memory. He doesn't have the spur of the moment, right from the brain to the tounge insight, like Manny, RJJr, or Teddy.

What is it with British fighters of Middle Eastern descent running people over?

Likewise, i'm surprised that JT took the rematch. Taylors "name quality" scalps were guys that boxed, kept their heads and feet moving, and he was able to outpoint them (debatable as the Hopkins and Wright fights are, they could have gone either way.) Since then, he has outpointed undersized...

I agree, El Terrible was my first favorite fighter, well actually it was Azumah Nelson, as he was my grandfather's favorite, and he introduced me to the sport. The Morales who lost to Pacquiao in the 2nd fight would have KO'd Diaz in the 3rd round. Erik falling into the ropes in M/P 3, looking...

I'll be pulling for Ricky in December, though as a fan of the fight game i don't care for his style, it must be my British roots that are pulling for me to root for the figurative Cooney over Holmes. Technically, Floyd is the winner, hands down, not even worth debating. But the only time I...

Maybe RJJ and Holyfield are working towards a fight? LoL. Amazing, this guy thinks people will still pay to see him fight. I admit, i paid $25 to see a card involving David Tua, and Jameel McCline, but i wouldn't pay to see Roy Jones today.

Calzaghe is the Champion, Kessler should have to fight him in Manchester or Cardiff if he wants the belt. It isn't as if the UK is Indonesia or the Phillipines, where you need to KO the hometown guy in order to win the fight.

I'm with you. I don't desire to see Hop/Winky, there won't be a knockdown unless someone lands a wicked liver shot. Briggs and Ibragimov should be a good one to watch, I don't know how talented Sultan is, but seeing as he was trying to get Tyson in as his 2nd, i'm thinking not very. Briggs is...

Agreed. Sugar Shane would most likely lose via lopsided Decision, 10-2 or 11-1. If boxing wants to sell, they should put together another Mayweather-Castillo, or have Floyd fight Margarito. If we're paying $50, we should have some punching. Not that i am complaining, as i though the...
