    I use regular iPads. Works with the (1st gen, but whatever) Pencil and it's plenty fast enough. Two of them act as my control surface for video stuff while I'm running shows and the rest of the time I use them for YouTube etc.

    I use a regular iPad, non-Pro, for a couple hours of reading and note-taking with the Pencil. I bought an iPad Pro and returned it; I didn't really find it particularly useful. Android applications have always been awful in large formats--even when somebody cared about the tablet experience...

    @John Marzano Olympic Hero - is it a retina MBP? If not, you also really need to do this. (My assumption is that a 2013 MBP is Retina, so it should already have an SSD on the board, but I could be wrong.)

    Buy a Switch unless you have a compelling reason not to. Sports games are better on the PS4 but it's designed more for teenagers and adults and it shows. Don't buy an Xbox One unless the kids want Halo games (and kids that young probably barely know what Halo is).

    Every major manufacturer sells 1TB SSDs. In professional models for professionals and in high-end enthusiast laptops. (I have one in my T480 and had one in my MBP before it.) A student whose major doesn't involve creating digital works and who does not game having doesn't need more than 160GB...
