Adam O blows away the Dodgers in the bottom of the eighth, so if there is an ex-Sox hex going tonight, so far it's only affecting those in Dodger blue.

After the Dodgers SS (whoever he is) flied out with two men on to end the inning, the Mets SS went deep with a man on to put the Mets back up 6-4 in the top of the seventh.

    The WNBA: Thread II

I appreciate your post and have already shared it with friends to spark a similar discussion. It was extremely helpful to have the numbers laid out as you did. It's the sports equivalent of "It's the economy, stupid." It showed that Caitlin Clark makes the money she does because she makes...

    Whitey Herzog dead at 92

I always rooted for them, because they were in charge of Job 1 whenever we failed, but sadly they too came up short in taking care of that responsibility, except in 1980, but Whitey was gone by then. But I have a best friend who is a Cardinals fan, and he looks back on the Whitey era the way we...

Did I ever tell you about the time one of my best friends called me so we could "count the last six outs" of a game? That was Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS. He's a Cardinals fan. I considered 2004 and 2013 karmic justice for what he did to me that night.

    4/12 A-Holes In The Infield.....

He was at the club, but shows up after the game and meets Bob Hope in the Indians locker room where Lucy pops in disguised as an Indians pitcher (complete with a Bobby V-esque fake mustache). Ricky recognizes her, clues Bob in, and they offer her a chaw of tobacco, which she swallows. They all...

    4/12 A-Holes In The Infield.....

On I Love Lucy, Lucy, Fred, and Ethel went to a MFY-Indians game in 1956. There she ran into then Indians co-owner Bob Hope and caused him to get hit in the head with a baseball.

The Juice Expires (OJ Dead at 76)

I think you also have to throw in as a cause for the vitriol that his case reminded us all of how racially divided our country still was at the time, and still is today. But your point is correct--in the end, the color that mattered most in his trial was green.
