Griffin's defense is not good. I think Kornet should be in there, as he looks like a better defender.

Damn, what's Williams going to make next contract, per year? I was thinking $16-$18m, but he's at 40% shooting from three, so $17-$20m looks more likely, possibly more.
its a tricky one

at 9ppg, Grant will struggle to get over $20M... pointZ pay

anything under $18M and Brad will probably match, so it may depress interest in him

It doesn't matter. If Williams is done, it's a huge blow that nobody can come close to replacing.
I was mostly thinking in terms of adding someone at the deadline. I'm not concerned about this particular injury. I think they are just being extra cautious.

I wouldn't be surprised if some team goes crazy and goes even higher. I hope the C's stay away if it gets over $18m

That's how the last one was, so I've got some PTSD here.

Color me sentimental viz a viz chemistry, but a team with best record in the league using a deep bench -- I don't break off secondary pieces (PP, Kornet,...) to make a more that might yield an improvement. But might not.

Nice. Pritchard should be back in now. Keep the shooters in, because Toronto will foul.
