So, there's a game tonight, and though I have never started a gamethread before, hopefully can get some mojo going to end what has been a rough streak as of late. While the Bruins have been a better road team this season, losing McQuaid shortens the roster even more but hopefully can muster up enough to get this trip started right with two points.

I am taking my son to his first NHL game tonight, splurged on seats right behind the Bruins bench. Should be awesome (except for the having to go to Newark part).

New Jersey just looks like a miserable place to watch a game.

Nice start. A more consistent Frankie would be nice. Liked Colin Miller just bombing away from the right point there too. No hesitation.

I figured out the commentator on mini one on one. It's Chris Kelly. Random.

I didn't even know they still had mini one-on-one.

One of these days, Brett Connolly will actually score a goal.

Watched the Spooner goal 3 more times. Textbook shift by him moving without the puck. A tremendous goal to get that shot off from that position.

Anyone else notice the NESN people talking about Gustavsson's post work tonight? I know Tuukka can sometimes get beat stick-side high, but it looks as if Gustavsson isn't letting anything cheap in

Hayes is finding his game.
When he uses his size and gets himself in front he can net some dirty goals. He just needs to do this more consistently, when he gets muscled out to the perimeters hes useless.

Spooner is quietly on a 60 point pace. Possession #'s aren't great (47.1%), but they've been steadily climbing all year. I've been fairly skeptical of him at times, but have to admit he's really taken a step forward.

And for less than a million bucks too. Not bad value there.

Less than a million next year too. He's definitely stepped up in Krejci's absence.

Shithead is really looking for a goal before he hits the pressbox tomorrow.
