He had how many days of first team snaps this week? Some of you guys expect him to be Brady right out of the gate... they're losing 6-3
Being bad is fine, but that last play has nothing to do with practice time.

Terrible use of timeouts Have to leave yourself with one. What a horrific job by Hoyer and by coaches.

I don’t really want Hoyer to be cut because from all reports over the last few years he’s apparently a really good behind-the-scenes guy at practice, on scout team, etc. But he should not play a second more of actual NFL game time.

For an allegedly heady veteran, Hoyer made a high school mistake there. I know he's played QB on garbage teams for most of his career, but he showed me why he's 1-17 his last 18 starts

the defense should all be inducted to the new england patriots hall of fame presented by raytheon immediately following this game.

That was as much as the coaching staff as it was on Hoyer IMO
How? All the dude had to do is what my 8 year old could do - don’t take the sack and throw it to Uganda and take the grounding call if he has to. All he had to do was to do what he did not do. He picked the worst possible outcome.
And the Weber timeout to finish it off was the cock punch cherry on the shit sundae.

Admirable stuff from the defense. Historically against Mahomes they've held for a half and then the other half has been more of a track meet. Unfortunately, they probably have to score their own touchdowns to give the Pats a chance.

WHAT????

Hoyer did not know he had no time outs ..the clock was running...and it was third down? He should have been aware of the situation if he was 12, playing pee wee football in Swampscott.

Hoyer is probably the worst QB in the league. And fucking Nathan Peterman exists. Jesus. Who is worse? Geno Smith is better than brickhead over here.

The other mistakes by Hoyer were physical, but that mental mistake should make him eat bench. The run game freaking carried them down the field in the 2nd quarter and he couldn't make one throwaway to tie it up.

I really, really prefer saving a timeout for the FG attempt. The pointless run play on first down that burnt the last timeout was just weird and bad.

Obviously the end result was on Hoyer, but don't even put yourself in that position.
Yes, the coaching staff shouldn't have worn that dress.

I don't get why they didn't rush to spike it after that play and keep the timeout in exchange for 8-10 seconds

I don't want to be too reactive to one half but simultaneously fuck this game and then wake up tomorrow and trade for a decent wr - this team is the real deal if healthy

Especially considering it should have been called delay of game.

Dumbest play by a Patriots players that I can remember since Bledsoe.
I remember an end of the half play a long time ago, back in the day when only one designated player could call a TO. Grogan got rocked, was knocked out, and was unable to call the team's last timeout for the FG try. I was a kid, yelling at the screen for one of his teammates to run over to his prostate body, grab his arms, and make the timeout signal.

Grounding would have been a runoff guys. Half would have ended anyway.

Edit: play was awful. But coaching staff put them in a bad position.

Based on Sony being many peoples favorite punching bag.
Watching Harris play pretty much like Sony is a telling statement about the football knowledge on this board. With the exception of about two guys in the league at any point running backs look good with good blocking and bad without it.

I remember that game! They lost because he couldn't make the signal, right? Did some half-ass signal way too late, IIRC??
