Yeah, Tampa pitched well, but this was a pathetic showing by the offense. They looked nervous all night, never really did anything.

Great. GG Vorp. To all the Sox fans who just showed up for the first time all season, eat me.

Heh, you are kind of correct but it is a Sox board in a rough year, so let people enjoy.
Oh whatever, you're too nice, I'm 100% correct. I thought there was a thread on the MLB board. Maybe next time the Sox touch the playoffs I'll go into game threads and gloat when they lose, see how long I last here.

see you next year. miserable. I'd handle this so much better if the umps didn't help the legitimately dominant pitching of the Rays.

For the record, I have been drinking and I am pissed, but hey, I'm right. Anyway, weird season, great series, congrats Vorp, I will be rooting for the Rays because of course.

May not have ultimately mattered but that 2-0 strike call on Stanton changed the whole inning

Kick Houston’s ass next round, VORP and Tampa. Very enjoyable squad to be sure. What’s not to like about this group? Congrats, and hold your head high for a well deserved victory in both game and series.

Only the second ever 2-1 postseason victory with all three runs through solo homers, joining Game 1 of the 1983 World Series.

There are like seven calls that went the Rays way that changed the series, and I don't mean to say they didn't deserve to win, it's just true. CB Bucknor changed the whole damn series. Robot umps are necessary.

Yankee game threads are open to all. I think we have the best threads because there is less cursing than on Sox GTs. But I get your passion.
This team went as far as it deserved. Rays were better. You can’t get into a low-scoring game with Tampa because they will bullpen you to death.

TB played much better in the regular season so they batted second tonight, huge in a game like this I think.

I'm very impressed with the Rays' production per dollar.

Go Astros though.

I can't believe Deivi only threw 20 pitches in this series. At least I never have to root for Happ or Paxton again.

I was expecting a walkoff in bottom of ninth. Batting last means a lot.

Hope we get the fans back next year. Playing baseball in an empty stadium seems more like a lab experiment than a sporting event.
