The Bruins took care of business in Columbus.

Marchand is back (back again). And he’s on the attack, as this picture of Foligno shows:
57074

The team is loose and having fun. Krejci and McAvoy are with the team on the roadtrip (Neither one is supposed to play against either Pitt or NYR but who knows?). Zacha is keeping the 2nd line moving. Everyone is pitching in.

Here’s the probable line up (Ullmark likely to be in net);

Marchand-Bergeron-DeBrusk
Hall-Zacha-Pastrnak
Greer-Coyle-Smith
Foligno-Nosek-Lauko
[Frederic]

Lindholm-Carlo
Forbort-Clifton
Grzlecyk-Stralman
[Zboril-McAvoy]

Ullmark
[Swayman]

Score early, score often.

Win.

306, row 14
Marchand - Bergeron - DeBrusk
Hall - Zacha - Pastrnak
Frederic - Coyle - Greer
Foligno - Nosek - Lauko

Lindholm - Carlo
Forbort - Clifton
Grzelyck - Stralman

Ullmark

Notable: It doesn't appear like Smith is with them in Pittburgh. Fluto listed Krejci as the extra F and Reilly/McAvoy on D. We'll see if there's anything transaction related going on with him or if there was an injury. He did practice yesterday.

Edit: UBI for Smith, day to day

Bruins in own zone have looked a little lost on a couple of these zone entries losing guys...

That was some frenetic action... no clue what Marchand was thinking skating towards Debrusk on that partial breakaway... DeBrusk looked really confused as to where to go...

I can’t tell if the ice is bad but pucks are hopping everywhere. Lindholm in particular seems to be fighting the puck. That’ll change.

That all started with a strong shift from the 2nd line. Got Pittsburgh on their heels a bit.

love to see the 4th line chip in on O. Has to feel good for Foligno.

Anyone else watch Foligno’s Lauko’s goal in slo-mo convinced he was either gonna hit the post or go wide?

I’m sure part of this is results-based and anecdotal but they really do seem to be getting in the dirty areas in front of the net much more often. Playing like they are more willing to lose the puck as long as it means a better chance at, well, better chances. As opposed to passing it around the outside hoping for something to magically open.

Is there a good reason why the NHL doesn't have a challenge system for penalties? I know some are judgement calls, but one look on replay at Pasta getting shoved into Jarry would have been enough to confirm that call was garbage.
