Between here and everywhere.
And yet somehow they’re still averaging within .01 goals per game as Toronto.

They’re not going to score the same way as Toronto because they don’t have the same kind of elite snipers as Toronto. Doesn’t mean what they’re doing isn’t working.

Low quality combined with below average finishing ability is a bad recipe. They need to generate more quality chances to try and make up for the terrible finishing they have beyond the first line.

I mean, maybe? But if they don’t have the horses to be high quality finishers they need to do what’s working for them.

The record is smoke and mirrors. The goaltending they are getting isn't sustainable. They're good but they aren't 13-4 good.
I agree. Their record in one score games is pure luck. Obviously this one isn't a 1 score game right now, but it may as well be. And I was including the two goal lead today in the +5 statistic.

Some of the best top talent on cheap contracts and just garbage depth. What a shame.

They’re 2nd in the conference in GA and near the bottom in GF. It’s absolutely the problem.
Isn't this largely a function of playing fewer games than any other team? They're 13th in the league in goals per game and 10th in goals allowed per game.

The Bruins have 4 elite players, 4 ok-to-good players, then te
A fair point.
They are 13th in GF/60 and 17th in GA/60 at all strengths. They're still pretty good at surpressing chances (5th in SCA/60) but can't generate their own (15th). We're always below average at finishing, and now we don't have the elite goaltending we used to have so even though we still surpress chances well, more are going in.

They need to generate more chances to compensate for the lack of finishing. Also, goaltending needs to be better.
