I get that TimeLord changes the defense, but what happened to the D from the second half of last season?
Remember that their D didn't jell until after the new year. My guess is its a combo of the coaching change, personnel/role changes and it being November. But mostly its just November.

I predict we’ll see a markedly different level of defensive effort if it’s still close in the 4th. They’ve shown can turn it on when necessary.

Feels like mostly an effort to me on D.

We don't have Rob and we know we can score a lot of points....

Tough to give a shit about regular season games when you've come from a Finals loss and are headed to the playoffs and know that you'll ultimately be judged this season on one thing only: whether you win a championship.

Ernie Boch is so damn creepy.
Years ago, I was catching up with an old friend at a sports bar and all of a sudden the lights turned off and it turned into a rock concert - whoever the current members of Boston were + Ernie Boch Jr. It really seemed like it was Boston allowing him to hang around because he had a source of funds. It was weird but still pretty awesome.

Yeah, can't entirely blame them.

It's not like the mediocre D is causing a lot of problems, #1 record and #1 scoring differential in the NBA.

The way the Celtics would need to play defense to be great every night is just too taxing without a big man to funnel teams to, right? They'd have to really get down and defend on the perimeter in a way that just seems inadvisable except for when it's really needed late in games.

Miami always plays us tough. Don't think we're going to blowout city tonight or Friday night. Will be good to see them handle a close game.

Miami kinda getting hurt on the boards, which is what you might expect given their size. Celtics should be OK assuming reasonable shooting by both sides.
