Kemba gets to the line more than any Celtic in recent memory (although Izayer had his moments).

The Celtics turned in some fine play to close the half. Lead back to 9.

He's ok, but not in the same universe as IT. Kemba's career FTR is .290 vs. IT's career of .384. Last year was the only season IT had a FTR under .311, and it was in 12 games. Kemba has exactly one full season above that mark, when he was at .329 in 2015/2016.

In a small sample size (this year), Kemba is at .432, which is slightly above IT's Boston average of .424. So, I wouldn't expect that to keep up.

*edit - FWIW, Kemba is way better at getting to the line than Kyrie. Kyrie is at .250 for his career, and was just .217 in Boston.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but why is the backcourt violation rule needed?
It’s a relic from before the shot clock to avoid a game of keep away for 5 minutes. Although now if you abolished it, you would also have to get rid of the 8 second rule, which would really change defensive setups.

C's letting the Cavs hang around. This game shouldn't be this close.

The one thing that low-key terrifies me about all these team bonding event pictures is that I feel like we never see Tatum in them...

How many wide-open 3-pointers are the C's going to give up?

Jaylen and Hayward aren't showing up either. I think Kemba and Smart are the leaders of the team and are trying to install a Celtics culture for the huge group of rookies and 2nd year players.
