JD Davison becomes a true Celtic tonight.

He's going to sprain an ankle during warmups.

assuming that everyone listed on the injury report other than Brogdon is out, perhaps a starting lineup of White, Pritchard, Hauser, Horford, Griffin? I hope Brogdon can play, but with achilles soreness, likely limited minutes at best. Even with Brogdon playing that probably leaves 60 minutes or so for what remains of the bench (assuming at least 3 of the starters play 35-40 minutes each). Kornet and Muscala of course can take a lot of that (or maybe Grant Williams ends up playing?) but seems like time for a possible Kabengele sighting (and perhaps Davison, as joe dokes mentioned). NBA.com still lists Muscala with his OKC jersey #33 so perhaps that is a good omen...

Horford/Muscala/Hauser/White/Brogdon? We got this.
With Kornet, Griffin and PP (and the rookies) off the bench.
Giannis might get 60 (20FTs)

Given his history, and that the Achilles issue cropped up after some high usage, I'd rather Brogdon just sit it out. That said, I obviously dont know anything the team's docs dont, so if they say he's good to go, then he should go. But not 30+ minutes, please. He's too (basketball) old for that.

yeah, Giannis is always a unique challenge, and even harder when shorthanded. Use fouls wisely, I guess...he can struggle from the line (but, of course, having guys in foul trouble/fouling out even more stressful when shorthanded). Grant Williams gave Giannis trouble during playoffs last year--hoping Grant is available tonight, but injury report doesn't sound promising

No Marcus, no Jays, maybe Grant and TL--maybe not...at least there isn't much in the way of expectations. It's nationally televised, so why not give Hauser and PP the league-wide audition they're looking for (or at least PP is looking for) and see what happens?

Hauser has been in the starting lineup. He's already getting that audition, no?

I think Hauser starts again. I think they try to keep Muscala coming off the bench, so I guess Griffin starts. Maybe they'll try to keep Brogdon coming off the bench, too, which gives PP a start. If they can make it anything resembling competitive, the rest of the league should shit its pants.

Horford now listed as questionable, Tatum out, Brogdon and Grant Williams both upgraded to available: getting dizzy trying to keep track of this...

Celtics injury updates for tonight at Bucks: Malcolm Brogdon and Grant Williams upgraded to available. Jayson Tatum downgraded to OUT. Al Horford added to the report as questionable. Rob Williams still questionable.
---------------------------------------
so, assuming no further changes, perhaps starters will be: White, Pritchard, Hauser, Grant Williams, Griffin? That would leave Brogdon, Kornet, Muscala off the bench.

(though maybe if Horford is out, TL would play? with back to back, assume one off tonight, one tomorrow--as Keith Smith also noted)

Grant Williams will start because he's pretty good at defending Giannis.

So, starting with Griffin, Williams, Hauser, White and PP. Bench is Brogden, Kornet and Muscala. Brogden would start but for the Achilles, which is really concerning and should limit is minutes quite a bit.

Much as I love this team, I can't see them winning with so many key players out. There just isn't an interior scorer in the starting lineup and that will make it easy for the Bucs to defend the perimeter, where the only scorers live.

yeah, obviously not a favorable matchup for the Celtics. Hope they somehow keep it close, maybe get Giannis in foul trouble (though not sure how)? Long shot tonight, to be sure--with a back to back tomorrow to factor in

House money with the C's on this one, pressure on the Bucks (nine-point faves!) . Give Milwaukee a miscarriage!

Smear the Deer! Although I am not optimistic. Maybe we win by everyone getting hot and raining 3s.

I'm assuming the selection committee will take tonight's injury report into account when reviewing the Cs' resume at the end of the regular season.

Imagine if you bought tickets for your loved one to see the best team in the league, 1v 2 matchup, and this is the starting lneup you get?
