Well, this is a surprise. The B's have been looking shaky at best since the "Olympic break," but they completely embarrassed one of the best teams in the league last time. They head west with my awful gamethread title gimmick and a freshly unsuspended Brad Marchand to face a frankly awful Seattle team. Two points, please.

306, row 14
Marchand missed practice yesterday but should arrive in Seattle today and play. Jake gets a run with the big boys. Not the worst idea in the world with about a month left before the trade deadline. Vaakanainen stayed in Boston so he'll be out of the lineup for the short term. Sounds like lingering issues from when Yanni Gourde brained him. Ullmark gets the nod in net, it'd be nice to get him going.

Marchand - Bergeron - DeBrusk
Hall - Haula - Pastrnak
Frederic - Coyle - Smith
Foligno - Nosek - Lazar

Reilly - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Forbort - Clifton

Ullmark

"Kraken" has become all-too synonymous with "bad lawyers." Time to return the word to its rightful place -- bad hockey.

Such a cool arena, awesome experience overall. Grubauer played out of his mind, could have easily been 6 or 7 for the B's.

Just gonna say, "let's go kraken" as a chant sounds a bit disturbing en masse.

The arena is a little weird on the concourse, but the sightlines from the seats are great.

The No look pass from McAvoy on Pasta’s goal was filthy.
He's so good. If you look on Moneypuck's model that shot from that distance only had a 2.1% chance of scoring. But Chuck faked everyone out so badly Pasta had a totally open net. Beautiful play.

Grubauer was great in the playoffs last year for Colorado while he was completely under siege by Vegas. He was a solid pickup for them, if they can get players around him.

I frickin' love the Boston Bruins and I'm really happy that we have them to help provide some distraction in these difficult times. After spending the day taking my son to get his wisdom teeth removed and shoveling, I wish there was another game tonight.

You made your son shovel after he had his wisdom teeth pulled? That's a hockey player. ;)

LOL. I wish. He NEVER shovels. The assistant at the dentist's office said, "Take it easy for the next couple of days -- no sports, no shoveling . . ." He interrupted her by saying, "I never shovel."
