Some fancy town in CT
Now with people (about 1,600 or so) in the stands. Good opponent but I'm tired of losing to them.

Maintenance day not enough. Miller's knee is acting up.Lauzon out for a month. D-depth time.

The injuries on D are piling up but they do get Zboril back and Grzelyck is at least close enough to travel with them, so maybe he could join tomorrow or Sunday. Krejci is not with the team either.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Ritchie - Coyle - Smith
Bjork - Studnicka - DeBrusk
Frederic - Kuraly - Wagner

Vaakanainen - McAvoy
Zboril - Carlo
Moore - Clifton

Rask?

Also the road games are getting ridiculous. I know all 3 postponements were home games, but after this road trip they will have played 14 road/neutral games, 5 home games. Even with the cancellations, 14/8 is a pretty crazy split. Wonder if someone asked the league to shove more home games to the back part of the season in the event fans ever get allowed back in MA.

Well, the cancellations are all getting made up so it's not like they lost the home games. They are just going to have a shit ton of home games to end the year which IMO is good. If they can keep this going while having this many road games, they are going to be in really good shape to win the division.

They've already started scheduling games May 9/10. My guess is the season ends up 1-2 weeks longer than originally anticipated.

Two (three?) years ago during a defense plague, Lauzon came up and played some games that, to my eyes, showed that he'd be able to play in the NHL. He just kind of looked like he belonged, even if there were hiccups. He sort of stagnated, but seems to have regained whatever it was.
It would nice to see Vaakakainen get some run to see if the same thing is there.

I thought there were fans in the stands tonight? Am I just making that up?

There’s a rookie mistake from Frederic there. You don’t have that kind of time.
Yeah, that was sort of like a young QB holding the ball too long in the pocket...he’ll get that internal timer soon enough. Shitty time to make that mistake though

Maybe after three losses to these guys they should realize they gotta bust their asses against them. The losses to these guys and New Jersey shouldn’t happen.

Not that it mattered, but Frederic getting a penalty without a matching penalty to Martin was some dreadful refereeing.

Isles are a good team, NJ I agree with you on.
They’re not that good. They work really hard. And they turn pucks over well. The Bruins have to figure out how to match their effort. And I’m not saying the Bruins mailed it in, I thought they worked hard for the most part. They just got outworked and did some really dumb things with the puck.

The Islanders seem like a bad matchup for the Bruins, just like the Bruins are for the Flyers. It's an interesting "problem" when teams are playing each other so many times this season.

It could also be the spot. The three times that they played the Islanders:
A 5pm holiday Monday start
A game where they were on a back to back 3 in 4 night’s situation and the Islanders we’re waiting at home for them.
Then this one, the game after the Lake Tahoe trip.
I would at least like to play them at home before I start worrying about the matchup.
