Let's finish off this road trip in style. Perhaps even play a game with a lead?

Wouldn't expect much changes to the lineup. Maybe Kuhlman for Blidh , but that's about it. Cassidy already said Rask would be in net.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Ritchie - Krejci - Smith
Frederic - Coyle - Wagner
Blidh - Kuraly - Bjork

Lauzon - McAvoy
Clifton - Carlo
Zboril - Miller

Rask

They are still too reliant on special teams, and 5x5 they could get better, but their defense seems better 5x5 and they seem less prone to getting hemmed into their zone for large stretches.

I think the answer is still no (Tampa was a juggernaut), but if they are healthy this year they have as good a chance to win as any. They are deep at every position.

Shower thought: think they'd move BOS-NYR up since both teams will miss 2 at basically the same time with covid-sidelined opponents? The other two teams would still be covid-ineligible after, but that might give the NHL some flexibility elsewhere?

What is the rule there?

Matching minors make it 4v4. The Bruins take two penalties before the matching minors are over. Matching penalties end and it goes 5 on 4, even with 2 Bruins in the box with overlapping penalties. The first non matching penalty ends... And it's now 5v5. Do the refs automatically blow it dead?

I believe McAvoy should have had to wait for a whistle? I actually don’t know.

Yeah I think McAvoy was supposed to have to wait for a whistle, with Wagner and Konecny coming out simultaneously - the min 3 / max 5 skater per-team requirement cost the Flyers 6 seconds of a 5-on-3, I think that's what tripped the refs up.

What I'm not sure of is whether the right thing to do would be to have someone serving for Konecny (from the point Carlo took his penalty) come out of the box when Konecny and Wagner's penalties were up, such that the Flyers could get that man advantage for 6 seconds before McAvoy was out - with Konecny and Wagner coming out at the next whistle - but then again I'm not a unionized NHL ref so I'm not supposed to know these things.

I really hate the ads during icing. That's time we should be listening to Brick break down the game, instead we get Hyundai shit. Really annoying.

Philly broadcasters saying if you don't score the penalty shot, you should still get the two minutes :fonz:

Shouldn't you have the option to take the Penalty shot or power play? Sometimes I feel like the power play might be teh better option. Get to wear down a team versus a one and done chance.

Completely agree that you should have the option to decline a penalty shot, but yeah both is overkill

I'd like to see play continue after the save, like a PK in soccer. I have not thought this through, however.
