The only play that really bothered me down the stretch was White allowing Bogdanovic to get the rebound off his own shot. The rest is the usual running the clock out and not turning it over.

Really, they controlled the second half pretty completely, and when you can win when your best player puts up 2-13 from 3, you have to take that.

Porzingis with a quietly dominant 31 points on 19 shots in 31 minutes. Pretty sure Jaylen only took 1 shot in the second half? Bit of a strange game, but a winzawin.

Took 9 fewer shots, lost the rebounding by 4, turned it over 5 more times, and took 9 fewer free throws and still won.

they stopped running offense at 6 minutes which felt too early to me. and too many Tatum step backs, esp the ones in the first half felt really gratuitous

Atlanta missed a lot of shots. They didn't have a particularly good shot profile -- especially the second half -- but they missed a lot of shots.

I think tonight was a more of the same going through the motions kind of thing we've seen on this homestand but that's good enough to beat teams like Atlanta, and they ramped it up in the fourth when needed and ended up winning fairly easily. Going to be a lot of these as we head down the stretch.

Also worth noting they did a phenomenal job eliminating Trae down the stretch. 8-25 with most of his buckets coming in the first half and visibly frustrated by the Celtics defense late.

Trae is so damn shifty but relies a lot on drawing contact. Hurts him a lot when the D stays disciplined and the refs don’t call the cheap ones.

They did a really nice job on him late, pressuring him behind the arc and being smart about not recovering too hard. Also had some nice steals just from playing aggressive but disciplined D and letting him make the kickout to nobody. Their size has bothered him over the years except for the times in the playoff series last year when they sagged off everybody all spring for no reason.

The whole team basically channels DW now when it comes to sizing guys up for blocks.

Anyone else notice a more animated Joe tonight? He looked like he was really getting on the refs and a couple of the players early in the 4th.

I was listening to the Hawks broadcast early, had to switch because they were just too stupid to listen to. One of their earlier comments that the Hawks should attack the rim tonight because Boston "doesn't have any real shot-blockers." 2nd in the league in blocks, imagine how good they be if they had anyone that could protect the rim.

Tatum wearing his hometown STL Cardinals baseball cap in post-game conference. Booooooo. Maybe a nod to the STL Hawks moving? Bad regardless.

Tatum has been repping STL forever. The Cs are incredibly lucky there's no basketball team there.
