Wasn't the idea to pair HC Christian with highly paid assistants who could recruit?  Seems BC hasn't been that successful recruiting so far and probably goes to show how poorly BC basketball is thought of.  This guy just left where he grew up and the ACC for Nebraska!

Well much like Daz being brought in as a recruiter hasn't started filling the class with 4 and 5 star players.  BC wasn't going to bring in someone for Basketball and suddenly have a class that rivals Kentucky.    But so far there seems to be an uptick in recruiting.   I love Dialo.  I really like the 3 players they signed in the fall (Robinson is the sleeper and I have a real good feeling about him),  and then they brought in another guard today.
Ultimately I think this group of Frosh has a chance to bring BC back to relevance in a year or two.

It seems the seeds for this departure were sown in late September with the dysfunctional recruitment of Aaron Falzon. Preston was heavily involved in his recruitment, to the point of scheduling a visit. Shortly after Christian ended the recruitment.

Good luck to him,  hard to imagine he quit his job over Falzon.

The vibe I am hearing (which was confirmed by ATLEagle somewhere who typically has pretty good sources) is that the Murphy thing wasn't due to Jim Christian. Ultimately, Spinelli is more important to the picture, IMO.

I'd say I give JC high marks as a head coach so far, I think the recruiting is mediocre, but I will give him credit for not filling the roster with MAC garbage like Donahue did.

Christian brings in Stan Heath as an assistant. This is a monster upgrade from Preston Murphy in my opinion.

I would say Spinelli and Heath as assistants are one of the best duos in the country, and I give JC a lot of credit for being willing to surround himself with that level of talent behind him. Heath is a guy who worked for Izzo for 5 years, won 31 games and Elite 8 with Kent St, coached Arkansas...this is a really, really good signing.
