His measurables seem similar to Logan Ryan, about the same size, 40 times, better jumper, bit stronger.
Didn't do the 3 cone or shuttles at the combine, but his workout numbers were behind Ryan on that.

Seems like a rotation guy who is said to be an excellent tackler, gonna get a run out on special teams and provide depth I'd guess.

Sweet . A corner who is both short AND slow.

37 inch vertical, 10-5 broad jump, and 19 reps of 225 pounds suggests there is strength and athleticism there, though.  Definitely feels more like a safety tool-wise

I'm seeing that he played all over on special teams. A hard worker who plays special teams and has flexibility between CB and safety sounds like a BB kinda guy.

So, do the Patriots go with Colt Lyerla if he keeps slipping? He could be a Hernandez.... replacement.

There were predraft reports Pats had taken him off their board.  No idea if that's true, obviously...

Man, I'm jealous of the Steelers draft.  They got my personal favorite player in the draft in Dri Archer, and I think they really shored up their front 7 with Shazier and Tuitt.  Then, they got the uber talented Martavis Bryant, who would likely be a household name if not for Sammy Watkins being across from him.  I think Shaquille Richardson and Wesley Johnson could both be steals, and then they grabbed a UMASS guy just now.  What a fun draft if you're a fan of that team.

Wow.  Love that Steelers draft, too.  What player could salvage some fan enthusiasm for this so-far underwhelming Patriots draft?  Would Michael Sam do the trick?

Is it underwhelming or just not a sexy draft?
On principle I like seeing a football team built from the inside out, but it's certainly not glamorous.

Yes,"not sexy" is a better description.  I'm sure that BB grabbed some long-term contributors, but the names lack sizzle for all the nerds following mock drafts for the past 12 weeks.

Checking in to see if Sam got drafted
not yet
probably won't be.

Edit- I'm guessing that because most of the teams left to pick have a lot of front 7 depth

Brandon Coleman, Jackson Jeffcoat, and Christian Jones all still on the board.

Are these guys still around? How'd the fuck up their stock so much? Jones was a drug test guy but I didn't hear anything on Coleman or Jeffcoat.

Coleman could have had medical concerns based on his knee.
No clue on Jeffcoat.

Perplexed about no TE and no LB to replace Dane Fletcher

No TE was odd. Maybe they targeted just 1 or 2 of them and the board fell the wrong way
