No dome in Minnesota anymore. You get all summer to prepare for the heat so it's not that much of a difference. KC is challenging, but very winnable.Soxy Brown said:Three of four on the road to start the season is perfect? Miami in the heat, dome in Minnesota, and Monday night at Arrowhead isn't exactly a cakewalk. Minnesota shouldn't be too much of a problem depending on what their QB situation looks like, but the other two aren't exactly gimmes.

I didn't realize the new stadium opened this season, but it still has a roof. It's just translucent. And we get to be the first road opponent in the new stadium. Hardly enviable.
Well then. I should've done more intrepid googling.( . ) ( . ) and (_!_) said:Vikings are playing at the u of Minnesota stadium while their new home is being built
One prime time game would have to be flexed back to afternoon. Pats have 5 prime time games already which is the max.PseuFighter said:broncos/chiefs is currently the 11/30 game, so i could actually see the patriots/packers game being flexed in, no? (unless cbs is protecting it).
It's not ideal, but if you could hand pick 4 teams you'd have a hard time picking a better quartet to play. If they go 3-1 there, they have 1 road game between Week 5 and 11 with it being a short trip to Buffalo. They could make major headway towards 12 wins there. The harder stretch is right after the bye where they have at Indy, Detroit, at GB and at SD.Soxy Brown said:Well then. I should've done more intrepid googling.
Either way, starting the season with 3 of the first 4 games on the road is hardly ideal. Though I suppose one could argue that the more home games in Foxboro when it's colder, the better.
I believe they changed that rule.mpx42 said:You can have a sixth, if it's flexed in. Happened to NE in 2007.
Nothing in NE at any time approximates Miami heat and humidity in early September -- and it's a 1:00 pm start. Hope springs eternal for every team in week 1. I'd love to flip the order of the two Mia games.RedOctober3829 said:No dome in Minnesota anymore. You get all summer to prepare for the heat so it's not that much of a difference. Very true, but if you have to play there early it's better if it's the 1st week so you'll be as used to the heat as you can. They'll make the Pats wear the dark blue jerseys too.dcmissle said:Nothing in NE at any time approximates Miami heat and humidity in early September -- and it's a 1:00 pm start.
