I always thought he had everything lined up to be a HOF-caliber quarterback, but he was never able to reach the level of dominance I thought he was capable of.

His 137 career AV puts him on a tier with Donovan McNabb, Drew Bledsoe, and Boomer Esiason, which feels about right.
He put up a 121 ANY/A+/17 AV season in 2005 as a 25-year old with the pedigree of being the #1 overall pick. You'll have a hard time convincing me he wasn't going to be a superstar if not for what happened.

I just rewatched the play he got injured on. I'd forgotten he'd thrown a perfect ball down the sideline for a huge gain. Also, the hit wasn't as dirty - or dirty at all - like I remembered it. What a shame; he definitely always seemed like a good guy and teammate and great QB. I was hoping he'd have a run in AZ when they had those stacked teams.

Stupid question, but is there a reason they listed it at "approximately 99.9 grams"? Is it like there's a cutoff of 100 g, that gets a higher charge (intent to distribute or whatever)? Just first reading it, that seems to be a pretty arbitrary approximation.
I think it depends on the state, but that's my guess. Quarter pound would be about 113 grams. Maybe too much to fit in two pint-sized mason jars (depending on density and other factors) but not that much more.

I've usually enjoyed his games.

It's been a long time coming for him. I know at least a couple of ref blogs have been pulling for him for awhile.

Bills center suffers career ending injury.

Edit: https://www.patspulpit.com/2018/1/26/16936580/afc-east-report-buffalo-bills-center-eric-wood-career-ending-neck-injury-retirement

UPDATE: Wood released a statement regarding his injury:

I was diagnosed with a neck injury as part of my season-ending physical with the Bills. After consultation with Dr. Cappuccino and other physicians, I was informed that I was no longer cleared to play football, even with surgery or further treatment.

I appreciate and thank everyone for their thoughts, concerns and prayers, and I will shed more light on the situation in a press conference on Monday at the team facility.

2018 will be Ozzie Newsome's last year as GM of the Ravens
This has been coming for a whle. DeCosta has turned down at least a couple of opportunities, never nibbles in recent years.

At his press conference, Bisciotti said he considered firing Harbaugh but decided not to make the change “at this time.”

He is a very quiet owner. Almost never talks. So when he says something ...

Talk about keeping things “in house”. What a hoot. Has Harbaugh turned into a bad coach in the last year? At this point in time, who could they get that’s better than Harbaugh anyway? So, didn’t fire him “at this time”, so, when? Not understanding the situation there, total WTFDIK.
