Leaving in a bit to the studio :)
NY Times feature today on how to beat Patriots emphasizing the Strahan method: Hit him hard and constantly after the throw--hope Blakeman read it.
On WFAN the other day, Bart Scott was advocating going after The Thumb every chance you get. Not exactly Joe Torre taking the high road by not bunting on the bloody sock.......

More Sally Jenkins:

"Later on, when the shock of this one wears off and the Jaguars zero on just how the Patriots did it — and how they do it time and again — they will start with the fact that the Patriots don’t beat themselves. They don’t make stupid mistakes, they don’t play safe, they don’t squander, and they execute on every small thing, “try to win every route, win every block,” as Amendola said. They make you beat them, and they make you beat them on every possession for four full quarters, not two or three. And even then, you better be ready to play overtime if you intend to pry a trophy from their grasping, stubborn, prideful hands."

The message is important - stay disciplined no matter what the provocation. I saw fragments of the game (was in transit from SFO) but it appeared to me that the Jags - as talented as they were - were playing out of control, with the the yapping, showboating, penalties, etc.

I didn't see this posted elsewhere (DC Missile?) but if I missed it, apologies for the duplication.

Thanks for posting Otis. Have not read her column this morning.

Hilariously, Ron Borges wrote similarly, which I posted in the celebration thread.

This thread from Warren Sharp is worth reading through on the Jaguars problems and how this was predictable.

It's long, but it is worth the time.

What strikes me about those screen shots is how many Patriots defenders were near the LOS. They were daring JAX to throw deep on them, and kind of to their credit they tried, but they couldn't hit enough to keep the chains moving.
