Still plenty of time but Kings really might beat them out.Hawks beat the Lakers. 2-4 road trip. Currently the 10 seed in the West.
Young's shooting numbers are pretty impressive for a 20-year old playing against the level of PG's in the league today. The only bad month he's had was in November. My boy Trae Young with 22 and 14 tonight in Atlanta's win over LA. He's crept up to averaging 17-7 and his shooting stats, while still poor, are getting better. In 2019 he is averaging 19-7.5 43/38/84.
Atlanta may always regret that trade but that's only because of the player Doncic has shown himself to beYoung's shooting numbers are pretty impressive for a 20-year old playing against the level of PG's in the league today. The only bad month he's had was in November.

Brad playing the long gameLakers lose to Atlanta. Under .500. I guess the Rondo shot wasn’t the beginning of anything.
He's got this weird hesitation move where he teases a floater and then just kind of skates to the hoop. It's super tricky; he even got LeBron a couple of times last night, including a decisive and one late:Young's shooting numbers are pretty impressive for a 20-year old playing against the level of PG's in the league today. agreedLuke Walton may not make it back to LA as an employee of the Lakers
I wonder who Ainge is trying to temp with the Celtic’s MLE (and who wants to maybe play in New Orleans next year), I thought Kaner would have been a decent candidate.Enes Kanter signs with Portland via Woj.
Portland constantly just has way too many bigs. They now have four centers (Nurkic, Leonard, Collins and Kanter) who will presumably all want minutes, in a league that doesn't really like centers any more. Strange landing spot for Kanter.Enes Kanter signs with Portland via Woj.
They gave him the max offer years ago that OKC eventually matched. I think it's an odd fit, too, but Neil Olshey is pretty notorious for having "his guys" and targeting them in free agency, trades or whatever. Soon as Kanter got bought out I heard about Portland being the potential landing spot.Portland constantly just has way too many bigs. Pascal Siakam 45/10 on 15-25 shooting. They don't need Kawhi to sign in Toronto for the Raptors to have their go-to All-Star wing.I know its bad to say the NBA is a great product because Warriors. But I love that there are a ton of great things going on around the Association on a winter Wednesday night and Twitter is there to make sure we don't miss, at least, parts of it:
Nets and Cavs in 3 OTs
Chriss burying Allen
Knox exhuming Simmons corpse, propping it up and then killing it again
IT Zero returning to action
etc etc

Seems like the Knicks version of Time Lord. Mitchell is getting play though.Mitchell Robinson had abusive 1 on 1 blocks against Embiid on two different possessions down the stretch today, I think he might be the most promising of the young Knicks (ahead of Smith and Knox).
He had two nice assists and would have had more but a few of his teammates couldn't finish easy layups.IT with 0 points in 7 minutes of action in first half. Kings beating Denver on road.
This game is awesome. Malone got run earlier after turning tomato red over a call. Beasley and Bogdanovic had words and Beasley got run after scoring over him a sequence or two later.Harrison Barnes in filling it up. Barnburner in Denver.
They are my second favorite "team" to follow and Denver is up there too. But the Kings have this figuring-it-out vibe about them that makes them extra fun. Buddy Hield is probably one of the more underrated players (not by NBA nerds but casual fans) in the league right now. He almost won that game on that last shot.I know we are supposed to root against Sacramento, but....
Very hard to root against the Kings. Fox, Bagley, Hield, Bog - really nice young core of players on the rise. Nikola Jokic, on the Denver side, is a joy to watch. He is like a younger, slightly heavier, Serbian version of Al Horford.
OMG I didn't see that until now. Wob is the best in general and that makes it even better:Part of my trouble with rooting against the Kings is that it helps the Lakers and it would be so delicious if they missed the playoffs.
Btw, DeJesus, I know you read World Wide Wob. How funny was that Megan Markle stuff?
Well, as a fan of sports and competition, watching the Warriors has been so, so boring for a few years now, so it makes sense...BTW, I now have a working theory, based on nothing but my eye test, that the Warriors are so, so bored. Like playing a video game where they have mastered the level and then want to see how close to the edge they can skate and still level up. So they let other teams hang around until the last five or six minutes of the fourth and then they go nuclear and blow them off the floor. Lets see how they do tonight in Portlandia...
I think Malone wanted an early start on the ASB since he isn't going to get oneThis game is awesome. Malone got run earlier after turning tomato red over a call. Beasley and Bogdanovic had words and Beasley got run after scoring over him a sequence or two later.
