Gruden to me is a fraud and this game could very well be a similar beat down to what we witnessed earlier this evening.

I’ve grown tired of this narrative already. He got Oakland to SB caliber and the win with Tampa. How many frauds do that? His QBs were Rich Gannon and Brad Johnson. Will he be good in his return? I don’t know. That doesn’t remove his past accomplishments.

That was an incredible TD to watch live with the field mics amped up and all the guys joining in like a rugby scrum.

He took Tony Dungy's team to the SB in 2002 and then went 45-51 the next 6 seasons until he was fired.

He was a color commentator for the next decade and turned his fame into a 100$ million contract.

Not sure that is resume worthy of Canton.

Excellent work.

I've never seen a fan base hold on to the memory of a playoff win like grim death quite like Jets fans do regarding that measly fucking win, especially considering how they got waxed in the AFCCG the following week.

If they pulled a 2004 Red Sox and went on to win a Super Bowl, then I could see it.

The Patriots have since been to four Super Bowls, winning two, so that win meant nothing in the grand scheme of things.

But keep bringing it up like it does.

Are the Raiders contractually obligated to only have kickers who were drafted obscenely high?

Nugent is fairly old so Aguayo could have an opening some day.

Cooks just worked for the DPI more than I saw him work for one the entire season last year. If he had just done that a few more times, he'd probably still be in New England.

Really bad job by Goff—didn’t call out the protection on the previous play then holds it way too long.

And they are clearly making the cardinal Reidesque sin of not putting the ball in the hands of their best player, instead forcing it to Cooks in tight coverage about five times so far.

Yeah, seriously. Gurley has 3 touches in the first half.

Ball hit Cooks square in the chest.

It's funny. I've had two conversations about Cooks in the past few days. First conversation my buddy says something like, "he was really good at drawing PI." The second was if there is a defender within 2 yards of him, he drops it. I didn't really buy these claims, but have seen both of these born out tonight.

Jets defense says they knew the plays the Lions were going to run based of the formations the lions were in as well as staffords hand signals.

How the fuck did the lions not change them from last year with a new coach?

See, I don't think Cooks was that good at drawing DPI. I think he could have done it way, way more. For example, that last pass that he just got the DPI on, the ball hit the defender in the back. If Cooks just stops and tries to, you know, catch the ball, the defender would have run right through him. Instead, he got lucky because the defender basically ran into him anyway, but it wasn't because of anything Cooks did.

On the 1st one, when he jumped to make the play and got the call, that was excellent. He didn't do a lot of that last year. He gets calls because of his speed and because when a ball is underthrown, guys run into him, but he could get a lot more of them if he fought harder when the ball is in the air.

Best running back in football, and you throw it twice from the 2 yard line. Explain it to me?
Cute cute cute.

Not to mention he had Gurley curling toward the end zone open in the kind of pattern where Brady would find James White for an easy score all the time with a throw that only he could catch. Instead he threw into the teeth of the defense.

Gruden is getting quite the BJ on air tonight. You’d think he spent the last decade working for the network or something.

It's almost like you can set up the pass with the threat of running with one of the best running backs in the league.
