Halloween...that's going to be fun. You better believe there will be some great costumes.

Not sure where to ask this... but I can no longer find "the Alex Cora hoodie" (the grey one with "WS" on the front) anywhere to buy online. All the WS gear now says World Series Champions (a good problem to have, no doubt).

Any suggestions?

The Mayor's press conference this morning made no mention of the boats making it to the river.

Lansdowne > Ipswich > Boylston > Tremont > Cambridge > New Sudbury

Over the years, I've watched from the Ipswich/Boylston intersection, Copley, and the MGH area. Anyone have recommended spots to watch from? Odds are that I'll be making the trek in solo from VT.

Q: coming down from Maine for parade with two kids in tow. Need to be back for the trick/treating. Im about 2 hours north of city.

Obviously, Going to be a pretty quick trip. With that said, does anyone have any suggestions on where to go to see the parade to best maximize time etc?
Thanks...

So is it Wednesday to minimize the amount of people (trick or treaters need to get back like WHHOF) or that the team is staying in LA an extra day? Or just that the first responders need time to organize?

Wish this was tomorrow

Is there a way to watch this for us "out of towner's" (being in Ohio) that don't have a subscription to NESN or any of your local Boston or MA news networks that you guys are aware of??

If I remember from previous years, NESN puts a livestream on their website that anyone can watch, but I may not be remembering correctly.

I’m rolling the dice and taking the Amtrak regionial that gets to Back Bay at 11:14am, assuming I’ll be in Copley Square in time for the festivities. I could take an Acela that gets in at 10:08, but the extra hour of sleep and $66 in my pocket sounds appealing.

MLBN has shown it in past years as well.

You could keep an eye on the NECN website. They generally have extensive coverage of the parade and may possibly have some of it visible online. That's one possibilty for you.

That 'OnlyinBoston' graphic is misleading - looks like they grabbed the parade route - and starting time - from an earlier win (who knows which one? We've had so many I can't keep track any more) . Start time is 11 - not 10 - and there is, sadly, no rally at city hall plaza once the parade ends. No water element, either. But a fun time just the same!!

2004 was the only one that actually went out on the water, no? I don't remember any of the other parades doing it, regardless of team.

This is your photo, isn't it? It's simply fantastic.
It is...thanks...that was such a fun day!! I love when they take the boats out on the water, but can certainly understand with it being Halloween and all, that the additional time/length would make things that much more difficult.

Here's a couple more for old times sake...

Did they come back to Fenway after the parade in 2013? It would be cool to go in there if they do something afterward.
They started at Fenway in 2013 and let season ticket holders into the park. I haven't received an email about it this year. Or any email directly from the Red Sox about the parade. Maybe they're still working on the final details.

I love everything you got for 2013, but especially the water shots!

I hope everyone is as happy tomorrow as they were in 2013.

I hope it happens so Tom Werner can reprise his amazing cheer from 2013... probably one of my favorite moments ever:

And I just got the email. Same deal as before, season ticket holders can get into the park to see the start of it, the duck boats start rolling out at 11.

FWIW, I went in 2013, got there early and was right outside the park at the beginning of the route. Once the duck boats roll out and pass you by, you can bug out and be on your way back home. I would say that we were there somewhere between 7:30-8:00 AM and folks were already about 10 deep. One added bonus being near the park is that the souvenir shops were open and stocked with WS swag.

Darn, I'm only a 10-game ticket holder and got invited into the park in 2013, guess it is only full or 20-game and above ticket holders this year...unless they are staging the emails and working their way "down" to the partial season tix holders.

EDIT: I see the email arrived to my inbox, nice!

Speaking of 2013, mlbn has a retrospective of that post-season on right now.
They've been showing the MLB films of all three previous titles this morning. I haven't been able to turn it off. Which raises the question: who narrates the 2018 edition? 2004 was Denis Leary. 2007 was Matt Damon. 2013 was Ben Affleck. What celeb with Boston ties gets the assignment this year?

Just got the email invite to attend the pre-parade ceremony at Fenway (10-game season ticket holder here). For those that have attended in the past, is it simply watching them get on the duckboats and heading on their way out of the ballpark? Or is there anything else that goes on, like maybe player speeches or rewards/giveaways?

2013 is hazy but I think they had Tom Caron or another MC on a stage overhanging the Sox dugout, interviewing front office people, ownership, etc (given the events during those playoffs he interviewed the bullpen cop). Then the players will filter out of the clubhouse between 10-11 and a few of them will be brought up to the stage for interviews as well. All the fans there were able to fit in the sections between home plate to a little past first base I believe.

Edit: It worked out very well because with the route we were able to exit after the duck boats left, go away from the start of the route by heading down Commonwealth and Newbury, then meeting the parade at the Marathon finish line just in time to witness that great moment. Following this we then walked back to Remy's/Tony C's roof deck to see the rest of the parade and could see the return of the duck boats back to Fenway

I'm going to put my bet on Chris Evans

My bet is Mark Wahlberg.

Man I hate missing the parade. I was at every parade until 2013 and it never gets old.
That anyone can say this ("every parade until 2013") and it means many parades...is amazing. We are so lucky!

In news that will make some happy and others annoyed, Dropkick Murphys will be leading off in the first duck boat.
Whether annoyed or happy, this seems very appropriate. I know they were there in 2013 also. They definitely represent Boston in the right way, and while I am not a huge fan of their music, I say: bring it on!

(Haven't figured out how to quote multiple posts at once yet)

Gee, I hope this doesn't happen. His accent is so strong that I would need subtitles. Now, in case you think that means I don't love him, forgeddaboudit. Pedro still has an accent, but I understand every word out of his mouth. How about him?
I find this compromise very much acceptable.

(Although if they don't want an ex-player, then I support Chris Evans.)
