Springer and Altuve both have had good swings on him with the former piecing him up in that first AB. He had better settle down or he may well get rocked.
I think Bregman may be the most polarizing player in the majors. I am a huge fan - wish the Sox could have signed him....
Astros should have imported some London air. Tanaka couldnt get out of the first there, gave up 6 runs and they were blaming it on the air, somehow. Ball wouldn’t break for him.
At the end of the day, that was a huge play for the Astros. They likely only get one out if he catches that and they kept the lead runner off of 2B.
Houston’s bullpen will be shot after tonight so the pen game they need is bad news. NY could have a serious advantage in this series.
How is Gardner not strapped to a pole in the dugout. Isn't he a collapse/tip-over risk for everyone in the stadium given the winds?
If the home plate umpire is consistent about not giving either pitcher the calls out of the zone, then this is going to be a very long game.
Indeed but to be fair, Greinke is missing low and off the plate pretty consistently. I think Bellino would give him the away pitches if he was clearly trying to establish them but in this case, he is just wild. T-Shirt guy has him shook.
