Everyone fucking loves Brady. Him joining social media has done absolute wonders to his public image.

Given that it is day 2 of the thread,

Day two of the thread seems like the time to talk just a little more about Edelman. Eight catches for 110 yards. Four first downs and a TD plus one almost spectacular first down on 3d and 17 and one very savvy first down drawn on the Patriot’s longest play of the day. Wearing a protective jacket. With the secondary only having to key on two WRs. This fucking guy.
And he was having to lay out for balls because he was being manhandled coming out of his cuts. All while very uncomfortable from chest pain clearly.

Really a great performance.

Curran wrote at length about him today

Not exactly a “game ball,” but I think it’s very notable that Michel had 3 receptions for 32 yards. When we picked him in the first round, I kept hearing that he was one of these super backs who was both a power runner and a receiver, which was why it made sense to take him so early. Until yesterday, every game he’s played he’s had zero or one reception—except a single game last year where he had two for 13 total yards—and there has been a lot of hair-tearing about how predictable our R/P behavior is based on whether he is on the field. And it’s not as if he was being targeted a bunch and just blowing his chance—he simply hasn’t appeared to be part of the Pats’ passing attack. If that’s changing, it could be very significant.

I don't have a link, but early in the preseason my son told me he read that Michel worked on his pass receiving this off season. I'm hoping his receiving opportunities continue to increase.

I was one of the hair teasers and grateful to see that.

It's not important for him to be a threat to catch. It's important that he's not not a threat.

Not for anything, but that one play where Brady's knee brace got caught in the grass was a bit frightening. It appeared that there were several seconds where a 300 lb player could have easily fallen on his right (aka, good) knee or ankle, and we would be witnessing the start of the Stidham Era.

To the point that "everyone loves Brady" made by @brandonchristensen above... When that play happened, there was a Skins player helping Brady dig the dirt out of his brace. Maybe it's a small thing, but since when do opposing players that are trying to bury you go out of their way to help you get your equipment right? There just seems to be so much respect for the guy it's amazing.

It was Josh Norman, which just adds to your point

I noticed that as well, I thought he might have been trying to avoid a flag since Brady slid but got sort of hit. My memory is that he jumped to avoid Brady but the brace caught and stopped him suddenly so the jump landed on/near Brady instead of going over him. I don't think it should have been flagged, but he immediately helped Brady up and helped with the brace, I thought to try and show the refs it was unintentional and shouldn't be flagged.

That's what I thought as well. He wanted to look extra solicitous to stave off a possible PF call.

SF Radio had a great segment on the point that there used to be a segment on the weekly tv show in DC with Gruden last year.

It was called the Bob's Discount Furniture (or some company) Hot Seat Challenge. With all the stupid inane "we know you love this one" "it's time for the hot seat challenge segment". Etc and it was just some random question or scenario to put Gruden on the spot.

It just became the Company Name challenge as read by the host. The "hot seat" was removed for some bizarre reason. Can't put my finger on it really.

The audio is pretty hilarious.

Now the challenge is no more.
