I don’t think even my junior high football coach told us he was proud we played when it was cold and rainy.

I’m glad NFL announcers are starting to understand wind. Maybe someday they’ll grasp air pressure.

That was such a bad call. I don't know what they expect a defender to do.
There is nothing he could have done and he hit Murray the second he released the ball, so it wasn't a late hit. And he didn't land on him.

This roughing the passer thing is way too random and esoteric. And it's causing a lot of bad calls.

Williams on KC might have just torn an ACL. He just had a really weird cut, non contact injury. That might leave Shady as their only healthy back.

From what I understand, if the player is engaged in a block already, you can't come in and go low on him, ie, a chop block, but otherwise it's ok.
That’s what I thought. RB went low in KC/OAK to block a free rusher and it was called holding? Negated a nice TD play.

Not that it matters but it bothers me that that was ruled pass interference. I think in general this call is called at least twice as often as it should be.

That makes zero sense, ie, par for the course in todays NFL
The only rule in any sport that compares to EVERY rule in the NFL is goalie interference in hockey. And that happens pretty rarely. In the NFL, every sixth play is a question mark.

The NFL is hilarious, in that it's a step away from the WWE because of the opaque rules and randomness of the calls. Obviously that call in the Chiefs game doesn't matter in that particular game. But they will matter in the playoffs.

where I was last at
I'd bet a gazillion $ that about two weeks ago Commish Roger sent a memo out saying we need more changed calls on challenged PI calls

and so shall it be written...

This is solid work right here; and yes, I have no clue what ghoulie interference is in hockey, much like I have no idea what is or is not a catch, what is or is not OPI or DPI, what is or is not holding, it's awful.

After every big third down stop, every firs down on third down, every punt return, I wait for the flag.

And these 4:00pm games are a tire fire, combined score is 82 to 10.

Come on, The Broncos and Chargers are TIED right now. You can't ask for a better game to be tied.

But seriously, the NFL schedule makers are also ass holes. This 4pm slate is 3 games, and all 3 of them are horrendous. But it's great they had 8 at 1pm. That's better.

The 1pm games were pretty awful too except SF Baltimore.

There's a lot of mediocre football in the league.

Maybe the NFL has faulty data on their fan age demographic and think the average age of an NFL fan is 85 and they're all in bed by 4:00pm.

Color guy: It's only 3rd and 4, so you know the ball will be coming out of Phillip Rivers' hand very quickly.

Rivers: Takes the snap then just stands there for 5 seconds before he's sacked.

Colts-Titans was pretty good until the blocked kick and Titans TD broke it open.
Dolphins pulled off a big upset and held off a late Eagles rally and Hail Mary attempt.
Redskins pulled off an upset and held off a late Panthers rally including an onside kick and goal line stand.

It wasn't a bad slate of games overall. I mean, I wouldn't have wanted to watch any of the games above for three hours, but it was a good RedZone day.

Considering every other sport caters their Championship games for the West Coast, it is weird the NFL completely overstocks the 1pm games every week.

He could have gotten away, too, and instead he just lowered his head and took the sack.

Gruden said he wants players that have Raider blood in them; pretty sure all of those guys are either in prison or are dead.

Lousy that 49ers fans today who wanted to get together to watch the game had to be where they wanted to go by 9:30, 9:45am...…..

Since that black cat came onto the field at Met Life Stadium, the Giants are winless.

Where the fuck was that cat back in 2007?

I don't know what's worse... letting the clock run down and then calling timeout on 4th and 1 with 2:22 left down by 3, or the announcer saying he would punt down by 3 on 4th and 1 with 2:22 left.
