Tre'davious White is only 24 years old? Dude looks 54, wtf? Most of the time pro athletes look younger. Is this guy related to Greg Oden?

Singletary looks better than Sony and the guy picked only 13 spots after him, Damien Harris.
Singletary was perhaps the most divisive RB prospect last year. Given his lack of athleticism would his vision and manipulation work in the NFL? So far so good. I don’t think he was going to be on the Pats radar for a couple of glaring reasons. 1) He was not a good blocker and didn’t profile as one. 2) It wasn’t clear if he would be a reliable weapon as a pass catcher.

Singletary has gotten an opportunity to play behind a good line and the opportunity to take snaps away from aging veterans.

Sony meanwhile is going from running behind the best blocking TE in the game, the best blocking FB in the game, and a healthy and cohesive OL to... a LB playing FB, an offensive line injured and out of sync, and with tight ends who have struggled in pass pro and run blocking.

Just curious, were you a big Singletary guy? Was he a draft binkie for you?

Re-watching the end of the Falcons-49ers game. Why did they review Jones' TD catch at the end of the game? They ruled it NOT a touchdown. I thought if it wasn't ruled a touchdown, then it wasn't reviewable. See: Harry, N'Keal. Even though it was in the last two minutes, if the officials ruled it NOT a touchdown, how can they review that?

(I mean, I think they SHOULD review those kinds of plays, but I thought the rule was that the only automatic reviews come on turnovers and touchdowns.)

No at after two minutes the refs can review anything that would be "challengable" by a coach outside the last 2 minute window. Doesn't have to be filed under than all turnover and scoring plays criteria that just frees up those challenges from the coaches in the first 58 minutes.

I didn’t see it but if it came after the 2 min warning, all replays then are initiated by the booth. No coaches challenges allowed.
I get that they're initiated by the booth. But I thought there were still rules on which plays could be reviewed. Don't get me wrong - I'm happy they reviewed it and got it right because it would have been a shame for the Falcons to lose when they did, in fact, score the game-winning touchdown. But still...I thought there were rules about that. But ok, you and @tmracht answered this for me. Thanks!

Yes, I believe the spot can be reviewed/ challenged if the result would be a first down or touchdown

Four way tie at 8-8 with Tenn / Pitt / Indy / Oakland gets the Raiders in.
Not quite as crazy as the 10-game parlay that Cleveland needed a few years ago to get in, but that's still pretty gnarly. Have you worked out the combination of games on the Playoff Machine that are required to make that happen?

Back of the Napkin:
Pitt 8-6: L @ Jets, L @ BAL
Tenn: 8-6: L vs NO, L @ HOU
Indy: 6-7: L @ NO, W vs CAR, W @ JAX (Though I think any 2-1 works)
Oakland: 6-8: W @ LAC, W @ DEN

Stunning lack of self-awareness by Landry — he thinks he’s a star like his buddy OBJ, but he’s not.

OBJ’s contract has value. I can see why he’d try to force a trade. No one is trading for Landry’s contract — his 2020 cap number is $14.5 million, which is too much for a #2 WR. In fact, I won’t be shocked if the Browns cut him (the dead-money hit is $4.5 million), in which case Landry’s ill-considered remarks may hit him in the wallet — nobody wants to deal with this kind of bullshit from a guy who isn’t a star

This year, Landry is the clear number 1 receiver for the Browns. He has more catches, yards, and touchdowns than Odell. And all of that on only two more targets. Landry is an excellent receiver, he'll find a home if he gets cut. He has never had a good coach and was stuck in Miami hell for a bunch of years. Still, he managed to catch 112 and 110 balls in two of his years in Miami.

He's a star.

Watch that Pats-Dolphins game from 2-3 years back featuring BB mic'd up. He thinks a lot of Landry's ability.

No, because this shit team won't win their last two on the road anyway, so it would be a pointless mental exercise. I am not handling the way the Raiders and the referees betrayed us yesterday very well, in case you were wondering.

Chronicling Brees’ pursuit of the Manning TD record is a bit overhyped at this stage given how close he and Brady are and will likely continue to be.

Almost certainly will see a mid game ceremony if he passes Manning, of course.

And how could I forget to note that Brady has 611 career TD passes to Manning’s 579 and Brees’ 570, if you include playoff games. Regular season only stats are stupid.

Landry has the most catches ever through his first 6 seasons. More than AB, Moss, Fitz and some other hall of famers. And he’s never had a great QB. If he’s not a huge star it’s because he doesn’t have a good marketing team.
Landry has never finished higher than 10th in the league in receiving yards. He’s a possession receiver. Guys like that don’t generally earn $14 million a year, because they’re not as rare or as valuable as guys who can stretch the field.

Wasn’t that little flip to Kamara on the sweep a forward pass? Fantasy points at stake...and Kamara is definitely not making it easy on me.

Fantastic

i have absolutely no complaint with Drew Brees, who is a fantastic Hall of Famer, not the Saints, who are always fun at least when Greg Williams isn’t involved. But if there would be no more football as of this very second, it’d be so worth it for the irony.

Lol the nfl is such a joke. A marquee player sets a record on a highlight reel play and they call it back on a ticky tack penalty.
