Was that a fumble first? If so, you can't advance it forward there and recover in the end zone unless Keenum recovers his own fumble, right?

Ok, stupid question, but here goes; I thought there was a rule where if you fumbled in the end zone, you had to be the player who recovered thanks to the Raiders with that bush league fumble vs the Chargers?

There's a proviso about time left in the half on that Holy Roller rule.

Here it is c/o Wikipedia:

If a player fumbles after the two-minute warning in a half/overtime, or on fourth down at any time during the game, only the fumbling player can recover and advance the ball.

Why isn’t he defenseless, and a shoulder to the head counts too, I think.
By NFL rules, if the receiver has completed the catch, he's not considered defenseless.

I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying what their definition is. In other words, if that's a fumble, he's no longer defenseless.

Yeah, how on God's earth is that a TD, it looked like he fumbled before he crossed the goal line.

What a broken toilet this leagues officiating is.

Not sure what was the best part of that play; Stabler flinging the ball underhanded down the field or Casper stumbling and bumbling the ball into the end zone while he kicked it in with his feet before recovering it.

I’m pissed for Tennessee.
They still got a chance next week. Luckily Jets helped them out this week. Need similar help next week as I believe the Steelers own the tiebreak.

Never mind! Tenn loses to NFC and Pitt to AFC, so Tenn gets the tiebreak back.

Casper was the key.

Who makes the playoffs if the Raiders/Steelers/Titans finish 8-8? Does it matter if the already eliminated Colts finish 8-8?
I ran it through the ESPN playoff machine and Oakland would get the 6 seed.

As a side note, if Chiefs lose tonight the Texans would control their own destiny for the 3 seed. That would put KC in Baltimore's bracket as the 4 seed. If the home teams win on WC weekend, Pats would get Houston and Ravens would get KC.

Yup. Just said that Tennessee controls their own destiny on RedZone. Hope they can do it for Mike.

So what you're saying is we're all Bears fans.

This was discussed a bit in another thread. But with the Ravens now locked in at the 1, go Bears and Texans.

I like the answer was excited that Tate almost caught the hail mary....at the 4 yard line.

Ertz got CRUSHED over the middle there.

I think Edelman is only guy in league who might hold that one

It's funny, I ripped on Miami for not going for it on 4th and 3 on Cinncy 30. And now they are close to going to OT. Idiot coach results in bad things.

This is the Bengals version of the 28-3 SB game. It’s the Bengals so it’s a meaningless Dec. game, but still.
