A lot of family/friends are currently sick. Hopefully this is the Pats playing it smart and sending anyone home that so much as sniffles this week. Missing Wednesday practice is a nothing burger. Should this extend into Friday then I'd be concerned.

This hit the Cowboys last week, and later in the week I think, and as far as I know they seemed to be fine.

Jesus what have the Patriots done to upset the injury gods this year?
It's almost always the case that the biggest thing to derail the Patriots during the BB/TB era is injuries. When they've been healthy, they've gotten it done. I don't remember the last Patriots' team that was healthy that didn't at least make the Super Bowl or win it. And even when they're not healthy, they're still damned good.

Why haven't any of the local guys tweeted / retweeted this? Where are Curran, Perry, Reiss? I would imagine they are working this morning since the Pats practice but maybe not?

It's been a weird year, but I don't think the injury luck has been all that bad. The offense and K have been hammered; the D has been remarkably healthy. Overall I think the injury luck has been average, but the distribution has been lopsided.

This speaks to my theory that only three things in the NFL - head coach, QB and overall injury load. The first two can usually overcome the injuries, but sometimes you hit a critical mass of injured players and you can’t get over it.

I would assume Stidham would be the backup holder but I doubt they practice very much.
Since Bailey hasn’t kicked since high school I assume they’ll pick someone up off the street, maybe Nugent, and just cut some poor schlub.

Is Wilfork available for the game? He could probably handle anything from 45 in.

Given the roster and cap space I'd be shocked if anyone but Bailey kicks, and further shocked if BB allows him to try anything over 40.

I'd guess Kessler if they think it's a one week think and they like Folk. Then Kessler can come back when the go back to one PK.

Kessler is useful in that he doesn’t appear to be fixated on being on the roster every week. I will laugh uncontrollably when they cut him and sign Kap the week before the AFCCG to play Lamar on the scout team.

I don’t think they can cut Folk since he’s injured, so they have to use a different roster spot. Similar to Gordon - he needs to pass a physical before he can be waived. Folk could be similarly be IR’d of course.

Where's Ross Ventrone when you need him?
