Does that remove the two pick-6s?

Still an impressive number either way.
There were no pick sixes in the three Patriots’ home games that were referenced however to your point, the defense did put some points on the board. Van Noy had a fumble recovery for a TD in the home game against the Jets last year and Eric Lee got credit for a safety on a sack of Bryce Petty in the 2017 home game.

Develin and LaCosse being out is concerning. Especially with a an offensive line missing three of the opening day starters. I don't mean to overreact. It's the Jets. And the Pats D is not directly affected by their absence. But it's hard to see the cumulative affect of these injuries not making it tougher to run the ball, which in turn makes passing more predictable.
Develin, Andrews, Cannon, and Wynn (not to mention Gronk) not playing severely hampers run blocking. It hurts especially out of the 21-personnel, where Michel has been pedantic this year.

The offense is still a top-10 group but it has small cracks everywhere.

I think that the smart play is to use Michel in the White role. I know it's a bit risky, since Michel hasn't displayed the same penchant for receiving. But teams seem to be loading up against the run when he's on the field. He should be able to get open.

White out. Baby.
I read this as White was being a baby with a boo boo. But it's a literal baby.

Anyway, this could be an EXCELLENT game to see if Michel can actually catch passes. He needs to learn this skill and this game is a phenomenal chance to try to get it done. His one dimensional nature is something that could be a problem down the road.

Yup. Even BJGE caught the occasional pass. Really hoping Michel develops this skill but starting to get concerned that he may be going down the Ridley path. We shall see.

There were plenty of reports this off season and training camp that Michel was being utilized more in the passing game and seemed far more natural catching balls out of the backfield. Obviously this would be a good game to see this development in action.

Everyone who was on the Pats' inactive list last week is active this week (Williams, Harris, Meyers, Bolden, Elumenor, Wise, and Cannon). Plus one new addition to the roster is active: FB Jakob Johnson.
