Watson not activated or traveling.
The media was strangely unreactive about Watson not practicing on Wednesday given that he would seemingly be eager to plug back in after weeks on the shelf.

Actually, it makes plenty of sense.

He's a 38 year old TE. We activate him for tomorrow, then we turn around and play Thursday and that's tough. Use exemption through Monday and he plays fresh on Thursday.

Might as well give him another week off and see what happens against Washington in terms of TE’s and/or injuries.

I think the quick turnaround is influencing a lot of the decisions this week. Games close together against Creampuffs Row. Wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t see some guys back until 10/21 vs the Jets.

That makes sense, yes, it was just the seeming lack of curiosity by the media about Watson's status that seemed odd.

Random post that I can't find an appropriate topic for.

Why don't teams use laterals more often? I feel like it's such an opportunity (and of course risk) for a runner/receiver to be able to pass the ball more often. I'm guessing in the next 10 years just like the RPO offense, there will be more offenses that have laterals designed in their playbooks. Hook and laterals and stuff.

Could we finally see Damien Harris on the field? Bolden has been nice in spots but this seems like the right time for the rookie to debut.

We might see Harris, but how is Williams seeing snaps? He’s not taking any from Chung, I don’t think.
With a game on Thursday, if this game is 30-7 late, I would bet Williams gets some run somewhere besides ST.

I know that, I’m saying he isn’t taking snaps Chung would have played.
He played safety in the pre season finale and would be an easier path to get him on the field. Right now they’re a DMac/Huron injury away from playing Brooks/Richards big minutes on defense.

Washington has great defensive line play, that is one thing worth watching today. Other than that, the Redskins have been playing really bad football.
