He's a free agent at the end of the year and the Broncos clearly don't care about winning this season or they wouldn't have traded him in the first place. I can't imagine they care about anything but highest price.

I saw some comment from the 49ers that they were in on Sanu, but then the price went to a 2nd round pick and they didn't have one, so they settled on Sanders.
Yep. That was the line from Lynch on his bi-weekly call-in on KNBR in San Francisco. They were in until the Falcons came back and said the other team (he didn't know it was definitely the Pats till afterwards) is offering a two, and "well we don't have a two so we were out".

Someone needs to explain to Murray that there are worse things than taking a 7-yard loss on a sack, such as taking a 16-yard loss on a sack.

That's always the hardest part with the scramblers once they get to the NFL. They are so athletic and were able to evade trouble at the college level with their athleticism. Now that they're up against the best athletes in the world, it's a big adjustment to learn when to give up on a play. I'm interested in seeing how Murray progresses. You can definitely see the talent. I almost found myself wishing he would run more.

Definitely saw some good things from him. Trimming away those drive-killing plays would be a big boost.

I saw that on Twitter today. It's really unbelievable to think it is real. That said, some of those would be penalties even in 1977.

The bigger problem in the NFL today is the players are significantly stronger and ridiculously faster, so they are adding a lot of extra leverage on every play, which makes the impacts that much harder. Plus, more bones are being broken because of the speed, of everyone because occasionally a leg gets stuck in the pile going the wrong way and then. . . .snap.

Watson > Mahomes

(maybe not, but I'm sick of the Mahomes hype)
They hype is real, though. With a healthy Mahomes, the Chiefs are potential super bowl winners. Without a healthy Mahomes, all the Chiefs do is lose. It's gotta be a concern that he's had both ankle and kneecap issues this year, in his 2nd full season.

Hopkins has 5 catches for SIXTEEN yards.

That is really incredible.
Yeah, that’s actually kinda hard to do.

Like, five catches where you both have that little space and still manage to catch it?

Figure on five QB sneaks, Brady gets maybe 8 yards on average?

That is an extremely low yards per catch for a WR. It would be low for a RB. But for a guy like Hopkins, it's almost impossible.

Jaguars sure got awful fast. Nice work, Coughlin

Not just Minshew either. OL blows, DL communication is a disaster, and let me know when a linebacker makes a play.

Nor has he any clue how to do a back shoulder route.

I know we’re spoiled, but Minshew has the pocket awareness of a pair of tidy whities.

I'm going to go ahead and take this opportunity to remind everyone that the Bears traded UP for Mitchell Trubisky and picked him 2nd. Mahomes was drafted 8 picks later. Watson was drafted 10 picks later.

Everyone involved with that Bears debacle should be fired and possibly put to death.

The best part is the Bears traded the Nos. 3, 67 and 111 picks, as well as a 2018 third-round pick to move up one spot to get him.
