Cole’s going to throw a complete game isn’t he? Amazing what these teams are doing with AI and StatCast.

When do the Terminators arrive for real?

Why is Joe Ross facing the top of the order a 3rd time?
Martinez was absolutely dealt a terrible hand when Scherzer couldn't go. Especially after burning through and exposing arms last night. He really had little choice but to let Ross go as long as possible.

I know everyone has the Nats as done but this team is here because they were able to make several comebacks during the postseason. Houston's pen isn't unhittable either

They won't see much of the pen today.

He knew Scherzer was sore last night so he didn't use Ross. Plus Doolittle and Hudson are fresh. If the Nats were not in full squander mode and this was a 1-2 run game he'd be in decent shape with his pen tonight.

Might as well use each of them for an inning tonight anyway. Haven’t pitched in 3 days, day off tomorrow.

@HriniakPosterChild, I assume the PA announcer gave the correct answer. But there couldn't be a prize. Was there a show of hands on each #? (For some reason this interests me. Probably because the Nats are losing.)
People cheered for the answer they thought correct.

The prize for winners was breakfast at Bickfords. Second place got two breakfasts. Or so I was told. I have never been inside a Bickfords.

That pitch was 2 inches lower and 2 inches further outside than the one he called a ball when Rainey was pitching.

The PA announcer was Sherm Feller, who was on a very strict word budget. He did not participate in any way.

Nats just totally dominated and overwhelmed right now. Can't believe how brutal every home game has been for them.
