There was a lot to like about Romeo's play today.

Moving over from the abandoned game thread:

Well, objective #1 was a success: don't get anyone hurt

Objective #2 as well: Get Kemba on the floor, and off it again in one piece

Everything else was gravy.

On Tuesday vs Houston, though, I hope we get the first team going balls-to-the-wall for at least the first half. Smart vs Harden is too glorious to waste on "trying things out in a preseason game".

I feel today was the week 3 of preseason game where you kind of play the starters for most of the game. With a real game starting Friday I bet we see a lot of the rookies and bench guys and not much of the starters.

It's two games, of course, but Jaylen has looked really good. Tatum seems a bit rusty, and he took a long-two in each game - which wasn't great. I think in today's game he might have even been almost standing just inside the 3 point line - but that was just live, I didn't see the replay.

I was a little surprised that RWilliams hasn't been a bit more in the rotation. But, at the same time, Kanter was really strong in the first game (not as much in game 2).

Langford from the corner! Any thoughts from the experts on his shot form mechanics?
The new form hasn’t really taken yet. A couple of his fourth quarter jumpers you could see him using the thumb from his guide hand and once you even saw the hitch that comes from not having the motion in synch with the jump. It’s going to take a while for him to rework that jumper. But the defensive effort and execution speaks well to his coachability. So there’s a real chance that he hits his high end projection.

Looks like all the starters are out tonight. I'm a little surprised. I didn't feel like they looked like a well oiled machine in their first two games, but maybe they are acknowledging that the seeding games don't really matter as there is little chance of impacting the Celtics' seed. So, one could consider the 8 seeding games are practically pre-season games just to get ready for the playoffs.

This audio is no bueno for me. It’s so muffled! I do like the ads along the side on the court

Great test for the backups getting to play vs the Houston starters at least for now.

It'll be interesting to see how Rob W. holds up, stamina wise. He tends to get winded, and he should be putting in big minutes tonight.

Wanamaker's minutes in the playoffs are going to destroy me. A nice sense of normalcy to complain about Wanamaker again.

Two-plus games in, I get the distinct impression that Time Lord doesn't figure prominently in the C's plans for the rest of the season. There's absolutely no urgency to get him minutes.

Did that first quarter take two hours, or is it just me?

Eric Gordon injured in a scrimmage in which the C's are resting their top seven players.

Harden was freakin' on fire. Damn, the guy is so cool even when he's got three hands in his face.

Grant Williams has been sensational tonite. Robert Williams, not so much.

I did not expect to see the Rockets' starters in the second half. The approaches of these teams tonite could not be more different. What, exactly, are Harden and Westbrook getting out of this garbage time?
