So we actually are doing phrasing?
And no one made a "fewer" joke? What's happening to this place?

Soft fairways are going to play into Bryson's strengths more than anyone else. People like Wolff and Champ hit it just as far but they do it with a lower flight and a bunch of roll-out. Sadly, I think Bryson is going to put a green jacket on Eric Trump on Sunday night.

Man, I know it's not likely but I am really hoping Bryson implodes in spectacular fashion and has a roid rage meltdown.

I'm right there with you. I hope he spends all week in the trees and creeks where you have to make creative shots, but after listening to NLU this week with Mark Leishman's caddie on, he basically kept talking about how Bryson can just hit it past all of the defenses and bring in all of the widest parts of the course as well as hit wedges and scoring irons into the tricky greens rather than 4 and 5 irons. He mentioned several times that there are just pin positions where you have like a 4 or 5 yard landing area and just how much easier that is with a wedge than a 6 iron. I hope he tears the course up off the tee and then 3-jacks every green.

Bryson's landing area on his tee shot on 9 is like 300 yards wide.

I'm all in for the Bryson show, but if I had to make some interesting picks: Morikawa or Poulter would be a lot of fun to see win.

My "this would be awesome but probably impossible" pick is Fred Couples

Molinari, Horschel, and Smith is a pretty shitty featured group

I'd say Poulter is just as impossible as Couples.

I was watching Lin and knew he had made double at 10. When he picked up his ball in the woods I was like "has he already withdrawn?" Then I heard the horn blow.

Guess we're on hold for an hour or two until the lightning clears out.

You didn't need a podcast to tell you that, check your old texts!

Seems like they'll be able to play the rest of the day once they do get going again. I think they still can survive this and get a Sunday finish, but we'll see how the rest of today goes.

NLU wondering if they'll just restart the whole tournament when this clears out.
Why not. They shouldn't have had them tee off in the first place. It's the Masters, they can do whatever they want.

The course looks to have a lot of standing water right now. Greens may drain better than anywhere but this may be a weird day.

There’s a live cam on amen corner. There’s a ton of water on the course.
Can't they just turn on the vacuum(s) under the greens and clear that out as soon as the rain stops? (No idea if that's true, but that's what I've heard.)

Just need the rain/lightning to clear and then my guess is players warm up and go out.

It's not easy to make that group worse. Sub in JB Holmes maybe?

Hows the command center lookin John?
I am ready. I moved in March, so I was able to set up the "center" in the perfect way I want. Frankly, I have more screens than I need. 4 TVs,(one main, two side portrait TVs on the wall that are perfectly situated because you can't see them unless they are on, and a floater) a couple of iPads, laptops if needed.

In my office for the work day, it's 3 TVs but a big desktop screen. The laptops and iPad can go anywhere.

The only thing I need now is golf.

Sounds like I still have some work to do. I have my 2 main TVs both w apple TV, a side TV for GC, an ipad, a laptop, and a noisy roomba about to be launched out the window

Yeah, but they actually know what they're talking about ;)
Buddy no ones swinging out of your shoes like I do

Is this the longest Lucas Glover has held the lead in the Masters?
I'm sure his wife will use this against him

This is where my AppleTV pays for itself, the Masters app looks gorgeous on the big screen. Weird having no crowd noise but cool to pickup the guys talking every once in a while and no stands is kind of cool.

Bonus on the App is all the archive footage, never appreciated how well done this is for free.

Yes. The Masters app and website are incredible.

My Groups is a nice feature but kind of redundant since you can click on a golfer, click on a specific hole, and it shows every shot on that hole.

Honestly we don't need more tv coverage with this setup. It's great.

Bryson has a tap in birdie on 10 to start.

edit: It was a little more than a tap in and he missed the putt.

Just said that 11 is the 2nd hardest hole historically on the course. What’s 1st? 4? 5?

Uh oh. Bryson gonna be hitting 3 off the tee.
