This is over the top pessimistic. You always want to see a player make a huge leap from their first year at a new level.....not only was Nesmith making a huge leap but was on his way to being one of the best players in the college game.

If true, those are extremely dumb takes since a trade requires two willing parties - it’s not like the Celtics can just will themselves to a higher pick.
Exactly. Edwards figured to struggle getting clean looks against bigger and longer NBA defenders. Nesmith has the physicals to translate to this level.
When Middleton was drafted in the 2nd round, I doubt he was drawing any comparisons to big time shooters. Not saying he will be a Middleton-level player but a deadeye shot opens up a lot of things with NBA spacing.

Also Carsen is a non-entity on defense. Nesmith at least has the potential to be decent on D.
Yeah, that's why it's kind of weird. I guess the clips think kennard is better than shamet and the nets think shamet is better than kennard. Nets could have just done this without the clips.
Khris MIddleton in college shot .324, .361, .260 from 3 for a career .321 on 287 attempts. He was also a 77 percent free throw shooter.
Why isn’t Carey considered a better prospect? Good size, decent athlete, and even able to step put and hit the three (38% on few attempts)?
Wow what a great move by Marks in adding Shamet to Harris on the wing to catch-and-shoot off Durant/Kyrie/Harden(?)
Shamet is a year younger, makes less than half as much money and has an extra year of control, the money in particular is likely key for the Nets who are chasing Harden
Its weird. We know shooting can improve a lot over the course of a players career. But its really hard to tell who will do it just by looking at statistics.

That's if Harris doesn't sign elsewhere. He's an UFA and will be getting tons of interest.

I don't get why, if it's actually Miami's pick, that they're "targeting" Achiuwa. They don't need to "target" him. They just need to select him. "Targeting" means that's who you're hoping to pick, and angling for a way to get him (via trade, or hoping he falls to you). So you "target" him when you pick 20 and it's only currently pick 13. When it's pick 20 and you pick 20, you just....PICK him, not "target" him. Annoying.
