I don't get why, if it's actually Miami's pick, that they're "targeting" Achiuwa. They don't need to "target" him. They just need to select him. "Targeting" means that's who you're hoping to pick, and angling for a way to get him (via trade, or hoping he falls to you). So you "target" him when you pick 20 and it's only currently pick 13. When it's pick 20 and you pick 20, you just....PICK him, not "target" him. Annoying.
Because Woj can't say that before it's announced on TV.

Woj is contractually prohibited for saying that a player has or will be picked until it is announced on ESPN

That's if Harris doesn't sign elsewhere. He's an UFA and will be getting tons of interest.
It wouldn’t make sense for the Nets to allow him to leave. He should also know this is a dream spot for him aside from being a contender.

Interesting take by Bilas, because he shoots 40% 3-pointers against top 25 teams ignore the 29-30% shooting overall?

I think the better question is not Woj’s word usage but rather why there is such a hard-on for “scooping” picks a few minutes before they happen live. Drives me nuts. We’re all very impressed that everyone texts you their pick.

The thing that I find funny is that there are clearly people on each team or in the league office who feed him each pick. If I was a team or league employee and Woj texted me asking who’s going next I’d be like settle down, you and the world will know in two minutes.

And then when you needed to leak something, he wouldn't owe you.
Leaking the pick is easy, harmless and builds goodwill for when you need him to carry water.

Not much war room cams this year. And Woj has somehow replaced all the other reporters you used to see. He's like the Amazon of field reporters.
