Dugger is a super high character guy, a team captain and leader, plays on ST, tested out the building, has the elite size and speed the Pats like. I put him at a 6.49 because he is not anywhere near a starter yet. He got lost in coverage in the senior bowl game but flashed in the individual drills. This is swinging for the fences but he will have a nice floor as a core STer. I wouldn't have made this pick but it's an upside play. His processing needs an upgrade and fast - I would play him in Chung's role - I think he is better closer to the box when he can react more and not have to read and process as much.

One thing so far.... looks like Edge rushers are falling, YGM the only one of the guys considered a possible 1st to go so far in the second.

Read somewhere he was compared to Shaq Thompson I believe? Let me dig.
Yes, that's exactly the role he would've been projected for with the Bills. The other possible big nickel pick is Jeremy Chinn.

What I love about Belichick is that he just DGAF. Because this was a totally UNsafe, UNconventional pick that nobody else would have made at this point in the draft. It shows you that he picks who he thinks is best, period, no matter how it looks. I mean the chalk pick would have been Delpit if you needed a safety. Stud from the national champs, from the SEC. Instead, he goes with a 24-year old D2 guy. I mean, you can't make this stuff up.

If you draft Delpit and he doesn't work out, you can say, I mean, nobody saw that coming... But if Dugger doesn't work out, Bill never lives it down.

But he did it anyway. Just DGAF.

Why does Goodell need to look at the card 4 times to read one sentence?

Gravel is always super slippery.

Every day all I see is people dying right now.
Can we please stop talking about dead people during my first f*&(ing escape in weeks?

NFL trying to drag this out, they're going to be multiple picks behind all night, by round 3 they're going to be like 5 picks behind

Agreed. No idea if he can play but BB is the one guy drafting who doesn’t have to care AT ALL about the coverage of the pick

Between the image of the dog in place of BB and the Patriots making a curious pick at #37, all I could think of was this.

Yep. Comes with insane job security. That's a huge advantage actually, because it means he doesn't have to pick to save his job. He can just pick who he thinks is best. Too many GMs get trapped making decisions because their job is on the line.

Nice, I figured that was where he was going, I'm not at all sold on him as a second and the Pats avoiding drafting for need and getting the best players in a rebuild year is good.

Is it possible for them to just do the draft and not mention the frigging pandemic please?

And yeah how does Delpit (wins the national title and the award for best DB in college this year) feel having this D2 player get drafted ahead of him?

I guess Okwara is my last chance to get a Domer on the Pats in this years draft. I liked Kmet, but honestly, having watched him play a lot over the last 2 years, his production/impact never seemed to quite live up to the athleticism/potential. Though I guess he had a monster combine. Are they still in on O.J. Howard?

Maybe he feels like he should learn how to tackle.
