Jeez — This is painful to watch.
Did Gostkowski ever cost the Patriots a game in his career? I guess arguably he cost them the chance at OT on the road in the AFCCG in Denver. He had some misses but I am not sure there ever was a game like this one where a replacement level kicker would have been better.

That last set of downs was so bad by the Titans. Clearly disorganized on 1st leading to a nothing swing pass. Classic dumb 2nd and long draw, missed read by Tanny on 3rd. And knowing you really don’t want to put it at the kicker’s feet.
This will be fascinating if the Broncos can take a 14-13 lead. The Titans cannot feel good about kicking it from anywhere on the field.
As bad a kicking performance as you’ll ever see. Everything within 50 yards, and either from his preferred side or between the hashes. Just doesn’t look comfortable at all.
Will he kick lefty? Barefoot? Old school toe-style? Or will his holder see that he’s worried about his bookies a la Shane Falco and call an audible?
I’d be sick if my team left ten points on the field because of four kicks under 45 yards in reasonable conditions.

Gostkowski had three complete seasons where he missed fewer total kicks than he has missed in three quarters tonight. Two of those seasons include playoffs too.
It ain’t football season until a national game during which I giddily declare “both of these teams suck.”
Came here to say the same thing. The Titans are exhausted and you have the lead, so you run ONCE!?!?
This has the look and feel of the first preseason game, if for some reason the starters had to go the whole way.
