Elliot has been running harder than he's run in weeks.(months?) He probably watched Pollard last week and was like, "Holy cow, I could lose my job." And now he's a whirling dervish today.

It’s not defined by rule. But the most common would be taking a knee or the feet first slide, but that is not an exhaustive list.

I can't see WFT losing to the Eagles since Philly is eliminated, but Dallas still having a shot is remarkable with where they were after Thanksgiving.
