At home
LV had two chances to walk in and score a TD in that last sequence and sat down to burn clock instead.

Weak play by LV bites them in the ass. How can you ever bench Fitz. Dude is literally magic.

That's just the football gods taking back the win they were gifted by the Jets.

I don't ready many athlete autobiographies, but I'd read Fitz's if he writes one

Intentionally not scoring touchdowns on 3rd downs is fucking stupid. Change my mind.

Yes. But also, the Dolphins wanted him to score too. Both teams playing sub-optimally.
Well, Miami had the right idea, the fact they got let’s call it a highly unorthodox 47 yard play with 19 secs left and no TO doesn’t make it the wrong approach,

You play the odds

Honestly it was the right play by Jacobs. The mistake was kneeling on 3rd down. Should have just tried to score the TD and give them more time but have to score the TD

forget the face mask for a second.

the fucking TE was wide open ON THE SIDELINE on the opposing 40. It's 20 seconds left with no timeouts! sideline defense! if they get a huge chunk play in the middle of the field, who cares, they can't spike it!

this is basic football defense. Gruden?

Gruden can be atrocious coaching offense and defense.
Gruden probably almost passed out when his kicker nearly drove the kick wide right again, then he recovered his breathing just in time for that epic defensive failure.

It's clearly Gregg Willams' fault.

No you do'nt take the TD. 19 seconds backed up should be ballgame for any NFL defense, even a bad one. that was just horrid.

Can Buffalo just rest Allen and all their starters Week 17 and let Miami win so they play them in the 1st round?
I was wondering the same. does this Miami team suck in bad weather? there's some bad juju going for a 3rd division matchup in a season, but I'd consider it. First though they have to have the 2 on lock, which requires a win and a Steelers loss.

BTW, the Raider D lineman who facemasked Fitz was getting mauled around his neck too. Obvious offensive holding penalty, which probably is never going to be called in the last seconds of an NFL game.

It’s idiotic to not be in a three deep safety set in that situation. The one thing you can’t do is give up a long sideline pass. Five under, three deep, take away all sideline passes, and make Miami hit a seam pass. Or go four across deep, four under.

Keep in mind that the Raiders fired their D coordinator a few weeks ago. Not the greatest minds drawing up that late-game D.

Not sure what happens if Miami and Baltimore both finish 11-5.

Anyone?

If Buffalo and Pittsburg both finish 13-3. who wins the tiebreaker.

Anyone again?
If MIA/BAL/CLE are 11-5, Cleveland is eliminated. If it’s just MIA/BAL, then Miami goes to the playoffs. Baltimore could still get in at 11-5 as long as the Colts or Browns lose once or Titans lose twice.

Buffalo has the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh.

The last second pass defense was inexcusable, and the defense when the Miami RB took a six yard pass to the house was horrible. DBs bunched up all over the place, horrible pursuit angles, etc.

You beat me to this post by a few seconds. The Miami O lineman has his arm around his throat. But yeah- it’s not getting called, especially this year

And given the tiebreakers and game times, particularly CLE-PIT I don’t think Buffalo could know by kickoff next week who the seventh seed will be if MIA wins.

McDermott will play to win anyways.
But if Pittsburgh loses to Indy and Bills beat the Pats, the Bills will be the 2 seed. So while he will try to win, with no bye he might rest a bunch of players.

EDIT:This is wrong. The Bills could lose the 2 seed to Indy if they lose to the Dolphins and iNdy wins out.
