Redzone wasting a ton of time with this godawful Broncos x Chargers game. Drew Lock is unwatchable.
There are only 4 games going on right now. In that instance, there will be a lot of every game because there is a significant amount of downtime in every NFL game. Red Zone will always show a live game over a game that is in commercial or a pause.

So with Indy losing, it's Browns win and in, right?

And the Steelers are pretty much guaranteed not to start Ben and maybe Connor, too.
If Pittsburgh and Buffalo are both 12-3 heading into the final week of the season, if Pittsburgh wins and Buffalo loses, the Steelers get the #2 seed, right, so why would they rest their starters vs the Browns?

Draft a guy high (trade up if needed) or sign/trade for a better QB than Dalton if the opportunity presents itself. Dalton is just good enough to make the Pats go 8-8 which doesn't help their rebuild in any way. Now, Dalton + young draft pick I can get behind.
Dalton has had years better than 8-8 with the Bengals. If he plays for a professional team I think he could be fine.

It’s not like there is a bye on the line. The wild cards are a mess so it’s hard to project out matchups at this point, but there seems to be very little difference between 2 and 3. Might as well rest. I guess the biggest upside in the 2 seed is you’d avoid KC until the AFCCG.

Understood, but if there are no upsets, in the second round you'd get a home game as the #2 seed vs going on the road. Again, with no crowds, it may not matter, but at least you don't have to travel.

This year only the No. 1 seed gets a bye.
Understood, but isn't the object to finish as high as possible.

When the Patriots lost to Miami on the last game of the year a few years ago, a lot of people weren't too worried.

They ended up having to go to Denver in the AFCCG vs hosting it.

As I recall, that did not turn out too good.

For some reason, you're ignoring the context. Ben R is banged up pretty badly. He's had a pretty tough year physically and he's had a poor bunch of games in a row. The value of him getting two weeks of rest is far more valuable to Pitt than the nebulous 2 seed versus 3 seed.

Unless they changed the rules when they expanded the playoffs; 2 plays 7; 3 plays 6; 4 plays 5. The next week, 1 plays the lowest remaining seed and there's no chance of that being 3. The big advantage of being 2 is you're guaranteed if you win the first game, the second game is at home as well.

Replay doesn't show Goff recovering the ball, but he did come out of the pile with it, yes? A weird one for replay as he seemingly regained possession of the ball right on the plane of the goal line.

Actually paying attention to Red Zone. There are some REALLY bad color commentators out there in the wild.

man alive, those play calls by the Rams were thoughtless and uninspiring. You have Cupp and Bobby Trees and Higbee and you're just removing them from the equation.

A solid plan to rest your starters, that usually works out swimmingly.

I'm sure Roethlisberger getting a whole week off is going to fix the fact that he's toast.

Your initial point was that the #2 seed was worth it all and you didn't understand why players would be rested. Now that it's been explained to you that it isn't that important and Ben R might need some rest because he's an aging QB who's banged up, you've changed your argument to "resting players doesn't work". Your goalpost moving is noted.

As is your relentless ballbreaking.
