I posted on page one it was clear this was the Eagles game plan all along.

And NY and if it had been Dallas (and I say this as a Cowboys fan) deserve no sympathy. Don't go 6-10 and need a win by an awful tanking team in week 17.
Yeah, having to depend on a hated division rival to knock off another division rival was probably not a solid plan.

His answer to this question in the post game press conference should be a doozy.

How this boob beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl is one of life's great mysteries.

I'm going with it wasn't him, it was Frank Reich.
Don't forget he went for it 4th and goal from the 5, down 3; on Hurts' last series; which was idiotic considering how poorly Washington was moving the ball. That TD in the Super Bowl sure got to the man's head.

Y'know, if you want to "see what your third string quarterback can do," why don't you do it in the second quarter? Play the starter the second half

Totally need to see what the 3rd stringer who’s been on the team since like 2017 can do. Pederson is going to catch a lot of shit for this but I think the call was coming from inside the house!

I'd be embarrassed as an Eagles fan to see my coach purposely tank like that.

I'd be embarrassed as a Giants fan to be upset that the Eagles tanked when my team was 6-10.

I'd be embarrassed as a Football team fan to celebrate winning the division and hosting a playoff game.

I'd be embarrassed as a Cowboys fan just because.

It's rare to see something so obvious that the announcers are calling them out on it in a national game

Yup. The FG call was clearly the start of Operation Tank. They were playing a competitive game before that.

Giants fans shouldn’t really be blaming the Sudfeld move on not winning the nfc East. The eagles sat multiple starters today so you knew they weren’t looking to win today.

Look at Evan Engram dropping a pass in Philly earlier that would’ve won the game. Look at Judge playing a compromised Daniel Jones against AZ that resulted in them losing that game and having to play Colt McCoy against Cleveland.

But once the game gets going and it's back and forth the way it was ... pulling the plug deserves all the scorn it gets

Sorry but no. The Giants had to play 16 games against teams trying to win. Washington was gifted a free win by Philly. Giants fans have every right to be pissed. Clearly, there were a million reasons why they didn’t deserve to make the playoffs but they also kept fighting after losing their best player early in the season. The defense played pretty well most of the season.

IDGAF about Giants fans; what Pederson did to his own players was disgraceful.

I’m not saying it’s a shitty move. It does suck. But once you’re in a position where your playoff chances rely on a team with nothing to play for, anything can happen. Other teams today like Houston and Jacksonville have respective efforts and Philly didn’t.

Which is why the other teams, and their fans, affected by Philly's move have a right to be pissed

This. Imagine busting your ass all season in a COVID environment only to have your season end in embarrassment like this. Half these guys won’t be on next year’s team anyways. I feel badly for them.

Giants fans may be pissed, but that’s what happens when your playoff chances lie in the hands of a team with nothing to play for. The move Pederson pulled is shitty, but at 6-10 a higher draft pick is needed more than a playoff game.

We literally had half the Patriots game thread full of people wanting to win a meaningless game just because. And people have talked about the culture of winning and all that. Pederson just took a giant dump on all of that to move up 3 spots. He undermined his relationship with the presumptive favorite at QB as well. I hope it was worth it. I still don’t blame Giants players, fans, etc. from being pissed.

As much as I wanted the Eagles to win and put the Giants in the playoffs, it was only because Rivera went for 2 and the win in the Giants WFT game a few weeks ago that it was a possibility.

And Philly played well in the first half when they could have easily rolled over after being down 10-0 early. This is all on Pederson and none on the players.

That's the point. If you're going to try to win for 2+ quarters, you've made a commitment to your players, the other team, and general integrity. If Pederson did it on his own, without management approval, I'd fire him

Were they the same people who wanted Bill to play Stidham in a meaningless game because they wanted to see what he could do?
