YOOOOOO

I for sure thought going for the FG was going to fuck the Raiders

Good for Chucky. They have a lot of nice players.

One thing this game made me think (in combination with last week).... Drew Brees is moderately washed at a minimum. He has no arm strength left at all.
They won't bench him, but they might honestly be a more dangerous team with Jameis.

He might be trending down, but his non-Michael Thomas WR are an old Emmanuel Sanders, the diminutive Deonte Harris, and Tre'Quan Smith. I don't see Jameis improving their stock with that iffy group catching the rock. He'd look great chucking a ton of picks though.

Brees hasn’t been the same since mid 2018. He’s like Peyton where you still want him calling the shots (and he’s still better than 2015 Peyton) but he’s not the same guy.

I was surprised Oakland didn’t focus on Kamara more. I would have made Brees throw to the WRs more. They ultimately did a good job so it worked but without Thomas, this Saints offense looks beatable, as they were last night.

I thought that as the case last year. Pinpoint accuracy covers up a lot of other weaknesses.

That's sorta misleading because the on-side kick was effectively a turnover.
The stat is the stat. Plus the Cowboys had 3 turnovers PLUS 2 failed fake punts on their own side of the field. So sure, if you want to call it a 5-1 turnover differential you can.

Yeah it started late in 2018, he was awful their last 4 games and really hasn't looked the same since.

Of course, Peyton in 2012-2014 (before falling off a cliff in 2015) put up awesome stats, but I never thought he looked the same after his surgery - far less zip on the ball, but still excellent accuracy and decision making.

Yes. And Brees was SO bad in the playoff game to finish the 2018 season that the Saints claimed was stolen from them because of the non PI call. If Brees didn't suck, he would have driven his team down in OT. Instead he flung a duck that was picked off.

I love Brees but his arm is cooked. Without Thomas, he'll have a lot of trouble, even with Kamara.

It’s not like the league has ever had a sense of humor about minor deviations from league rules concerning on-field attire — remember Jim McMahon’s Adidas headband, or Terrell Owens pulling a Sharpie out of his sock? It would be odd if the league was less rigorous about enforcing its COVID safety rules.
Very true. Its just baffling sometimes what they choose to penalize, and what they choose to ignore
