Collinsworth is confused that a 31 year old guy who's been out of football for years isn't the same player he used to be.

Amazing how these prime time games feature at least one NFC East turd per week.

Lol what? If I was playing the Eagles defense in fantasy I’d be pissed at that call.

I have been dying for teams to get good at dropping onside kickoffs into no-man’s land just like that. It’s the only chance to get it anymore.

Agree on WFT.

The metrics at Football Outsiders say Wentz is in the discussion for the NFL’s worst regular starting QB, along with Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, and Drew Lock. My eyes agree with that assessment (though I’d definitely rate Lock a cut above the others).

Jones and Lock are 2nd-year guys; Darnold’s a 3rd-year guy and won’t be anyone’s starter next season. Wentz is supposedly in his prime. You’d normally bench a 27-year old QB plying this badly, but given Wentz’s uncuttable contract, I understand why the Eagles are giving him every opportunity to work through his problems.
Did not follow this thread last night - and indeed went to bed in the second quarter - but I have to agree that Wentz is simply awful right now. And honestly, I can't even tell you why that is?

Maybe it's just the accumulation of too many injuries, but the QB who looked so dynamic back in 2017/18 is simply gone.

Edit: To echo what others have said in this thread, it's difficult to overstate how much the entire NFC East sucks.

Wentz has a back injury that's chronic, it's likely throwing off all his mechanics. He's also lost confidence and the team around him really isn't very good despite playing in a trash division.

Cowboys have scored 22 points in 3 games since Dak was injured. Losing out doesn’t seem far fetched.
Even if Dalton returns, their Week 12 tilt with the WFT is the only remaining game where they might be favored. I think they’ll find a way to win at least one of their remaining three divisional games, but it’s far from a sure thing.

My favorite part of the proceedings, the "oh btw Antonio Brown is still a piece of trash" portion.

I'm glad ESPN is doing it, because they should, but it sucks that they even have to. AB should not be in the league.

I’ve seen various parts of most Giants games. I think their coaching staff is good. They’re not a good team because their talent is not good. But they’re not a mess like the team they share a stadium with.

I’m not glad they’re doing it but I hate all non actual game happening topics.

They look more competent than Philly and Dallas as well.

Arians just seems like such a dumb coach sometimes. Like tonight, that fumble isn't really Jones' fault... but.... gotta bench him even though he's your best RB because that's how you do it.
